That's exactly it Skint - when I have a plan and it's working then I am even more determined!

My veggies are coming along nicely which is all part of the DF journey (once we get to eat them!).

Today I aim to not spend anything.

Life is really pleasent at the moment, even with this noose round my neck, I am learning to enjoy the small things that mean so much. And somehow I have gone from being manic on a night to having very little to do and I can't put my finger on why. So I feel like I maybe getting some time back to myself. This is a good thing, I don't feel like I am drowning anymore.

I am researching slowly in bits and pieces for the next phase of our lives, the start of the good life.

I was hoping that if I pay my debt off in Q1 2014 then will I be all clear to get a new mortgage 6 months later? It should have all changed to a status of paid off by then surely? Anyway - I will deal with that at the time as it's out of my hands and I am sure if it's meant to be it will.

This morning when I was putting the chickens out I was thinking how I'd love to then start doing some gardening with the veggies and generally enjoy being outdoors all day. I hope the weather's here to stay for the weekend too - our first day of sunshine is today :)

I'm off to tidy my accounts up and pay something to the CC.

Just thinking ahead, as you do, currently I am aiming to pay £700 to the debt each month, I also pay £140 to a student loan.

They are both due to finish in the same year so I am going to feel the benefit of 840 a month more. That is actually scary! If we can't start to live the good life on that then I will be amazed!

ETA - just realised I used to get paid less than that a month when I started. I am realising how lucky I am.

    Morning world :)

I am in such a happy Spring mood today :)

Lots on at work but it makes the day go past quickly. The sun is shining and I have a lovely view of the countryside if I arch my neck enough lol. I've brought in some paperwork to organise at lunch time as not going out and that means one less job to do at home.

Spent £1.36 this morning from grocery money. Going to Aldi tomorrow night for the top up and w/e shop. Going twice a week on specials day is proving useful and keeping the pennies down. I am doing a challenge thread - month without big 4 supermarkets and it's easily do-able however there will come a time when I need to make a decision about stocking up, buying things not readily available in Aldi etc and using Tesco and their delivery service to do it....This will probably hit during September when I will be wanting to stock up for over the winter... Need to give this some thought.

Right, I am off to check my accounts and get that work done!

Stayed in over lunch today to do the paperwork - done. Also saved petrol :) Staying in on Friday too as leaving early.

Balances looking as they should. Pay day soon so will start the ball rolling again!

    Almost Friday :)

I have a voucher for a beauty salon so I am gonig to get a spray tan to give the illusion I have been in this sun we are all having and not stuck in an office all day :rotfl:

So that is tomorrow and is why i am leaving early - looking forward to it.

We had a lovely bbq last night, I had 2 glasses of wine and was ready for bed by 7! LOL. Cos that's how I roll.

Today I have a £20 voucher to pay towards £60 of clothes my mam ordered for me (I don't and won't have an account) so the good news is only £40 to pay this month :)

It's DS's birthday when I am off, so I am making him a cake myself in the form of a chicken! Interesting I am sure. Also having a bbq to celebrate for him where the kids can run riot and hopefully the sun will shine and they can have the paddling pool out. A few friends round and a couple of drinks. Hopefully it'll be nice. As OS as possible too.

They have an abundance of summer clothes so won't be requiring any, nor will I. All spends are budgetted for so hopefully I know where I am splodging. Need to check my menu plan today as I have no idea what I was supposed to do for tea. Whatever it was, isn't done!

  • Hey all systems go.

You are so gung ho at the moment. I need some of that, but have to be kind to myself right now.
    Trying to shift that debt!

Absolutely! You do what you need to do at the time you need to do it. That is how we manage.

I've popped home to see how the chickens are with the weather being so warm. I've let them out for a roam and a dust bath with some fresh water and also given the dog fresh water too as his will have warmed up by now. He's happily in the shade now until DH gets in with the kids in a couple of hours.

The greenhouse is open as it's like a tropical climate and yesterday saw some lettuces wilt in the heat. They are happily perked back up again and I've actually brought some outside to get the fresh air into them. The peas desperately need planting into their final beds and some other things do too only I don't habe beds for them yet! That's this w/e's task. Well Sundays as we're out on Sat.

Lunch was free, HM soup, so already paid for. Was delicious, even on a day like today.

After having a few weeks off the diet since hols it's about time I reined in again and the HM veg soup is a goer for not putting weight on. I need to start running again which I have done in spits and spats but never the less haven't kept it up. I would like to try and do a bit once the kids are in bed which is 7pm for DS and DD is old enough to entertain herself under he Dad's "supervision"...I enquired about joining the gym but its too expensive and doesn't offer me anything I would use that I am already getting for free at home.

Also I have been thinking about the grocery thing with Tesco. Whilst I work FT and have young children I am going to allow myself to shop there every say 3/4 months for top ups of things that are hard to get elsewhere.

    Morning all

It's a tight month for this pay day as there's car tax, birthdays, bbq's, 2 weeks holidays and all sorts going on. I have spent £40 of my £100 budget already on food so need to be careful.

I am trying to pay off the overdraft I went into so I won't be able to clear too much off the debt this month but that's expected and during the holiday period I am taking it easier as I think we all need some time off.

I still have loads of work to do before friday so much crack on.
