Short and sweet - I have some great news. Managed to move the loan and the low balance (2.5k) cc to a 0% loan so getting rid of 2 credit agreements! I now have 2 CC instead of the 4 I started with and 1 loan to family so that's not on my credit report instead of the 2 I started with. Not to mention store cards and OD!
All heading in the right direction and I can easily pay off small amounts each day without the faff on I normally I have where the loan is concerned.
So a pleasing morning all in.
On pay day I will be getting rid of the OD.

Hi all
Well what a productive day or so financially.
The money to pay the loan has come through at 0%. Fab. So I caled the bank to pay it off and the settlement figure included a fee so I asked if I could pay if off bar a penny and she said yes then the DD would take the last payment of 1p and the account would be closed! Without the settlement feeApparently I have found a big loophole LOL.
Also the money has been sent to the Tesco CC which hasn't cleared yet so hoping to close that off tomorrow. The balance is reflecting in my virgin card though which is a bit daunting but at least it is all in one place now (almost).
Now I can go to phase 2 which was planned for October. I am going to pay a flat 750 to debt each month. That includes 200 to family loan, 500 to new balance card and 50 to smaller 0% card. That's all my owings covered each month.
I am hoping to bring DFD forward to Feb 2014 however not changing anything in sig etc as lots of things play a role in changing it throughout the year.
Really excited and rearing to go!

Morning all!
My loan is showing 0yey!! Well I paid over the balance showing as the lady on the phone told me what the interest is to date. I will now have to wait until the next payment due date to see what happens. I was assured they would only take the remaining balace which is a penny if my calcs are right however I have an awful niggling feeling they will take the full amount and I will have a battle on my hands to get it back.
Any suggestions welcome
I am about to call the credit card company that I have paid off and make sure that balance is too showing zero as they seem to take longer to process.
I have managed to avoid a sausage butty so far this morning however the morning is young! Although I do have the right amount in change....!
Plan for the coming w/e is too make some soup which will be for next week's lunches (need a suitable container to heat it at work that seals as they won't let you walk round with hot food), also make snacks for lunch time, get remaining seeds planted, new washer coming (don't ask - 3rd time lucky), sort out next week's food, Sunday lunch etc etc.
Right, off to find a soup recipe I fancy.

Hi Debtfree:wave:
I like to read your diary as I find it very motivating and wanted to say well done :T
Regarding the soup...Asda Living do microwaveable cups and bowls with lids on that have a little pop up valve for the steam to escape, they're less than a fiver. This is what I'll be using for my soup when I return to work and they have clip on lids.
Keep up the good work :j
MmProud to be dealing with my debts :T

Morning world!
Thanks for your kind words Money mayhemPlease feel free to stop by anytime. Thanks Skint - if only!
I love seeing those days counting down!
Well I have had a very productive weekend which has followed on to this morning. Saturday was amusing to say the least - the delivery men turned up without my washer.....now I'm not the brainiest of ppl in the world but even I would have thought I was missing something! Anyway, let's just say we got it sorted when I went into the local shop (instead of online) and I left with a washerEven so, going after some sort of compensation but doubt I will get it.
Then we spent the afternoon sorting the plants out and taking DD horse riding which she LOVED so I was really pleased with as she was nervous the first time. My seeds are doing well and we planted some more with lots more to go in if the ground once I sort out the final veg patch. I am not too worried that they may be a bit late as the weather here has not been suitable for veggies to go in anyway and it's been SO cold.
Sunday was spent in the house cooking all afternoon which I really enjoy in the right moment. I did a beef dinner and a no fat veg soup which is delicious. Also made all the packed lunches up save me doing in on the night. Tonight I plan to do them while tea is cooking to after I've had a shower once the kids are in bed then there's nothing left for me to do.
2 weeks left before I have 2 weeks off with my gorgeous family. Can't wait!
