Finally, got this bl00dy thing working properly :D It would seem that the basic problem is that you need to start with a completely deleted THEN formatted stick for every attempt, else some files don't always get overwritten properly, especially Puppy's lupusave file, which then cause problems

So, I've now got Puppy 528 (fully working including ethernet and wifi drivers, and the higher-res graphics), Avira RescueCD AND Hiren's BootCD v15.1 (with HBCD directory ;) ) all just about squeezed on a 2GB USB drive, all tested, all boot from the syslinux bootloader (although Hiren's has to scan the directory first), and all fully functional :):D

Big Hanx to nice Mr DCM for his encouragement, support and inspirational insults along the way ;):):D :rotfl:

...after trying the Win 8 pre-release beta over xmas, I'd rather get the W7 project done so I can stay with that until at least 13 ;)

It's going to be the project for this weekend, after I've sorted a laptop with a duff lead, been to the bank, seen the financial advisor, sorted the rear lights on a work van, hacked back some more of the undergrowth in the grounds of spud towers, and been to a (few) pubs. :)
    Move along, nothing to see.
