Easyjet Hand Luggage- what to buy

So who can find the perfect easyjet bag? Surely the truth must be out there. If not, there's a terrific opportunity for somebody to produce one.
The perfect bag does not exist.
If it's the right size it's usually too heavy (most suitcases).
If it's the right size and not too heavy it's usually too unstable (Karabar) .
If it's the right size and not too heavy or too unstable it's usually too cheap looking (the Argos one and other places selling the same brand).
If it's the right size and not too heavy or too unstable or too cheap looking it usually hasn't got wheels. And will be soft bodied and lull you into thinking you can pack it right up to 10kg, meaning it will be bigger than it should and you will have to sit on it to get it into the size thingy at the airport. (Then rip a handle trying to get it back out)
If it's the right size and not too heavy or too unstable or too cheap looking and has wheels and is not soft bodied then it definitely doesn't hold enough (the Tripp one in the original post).
I know - I've had them all (why would you want to have a handbag obsession - cabin bag obsessions are much more rewarding :rotfl:).
I've settled on this one, on the basis I'm usually going to my holiday home and always end up bringing back stuff I haven't worn, so if something has to give it's volume. I felt SO stress free using it.
Now I just need to find the perfect lightweight nylon tote to put inside it with passport, purse, kindle etc. This is proving very difficult.
Also, I still hanker after this, or the similar style red ones.
I think I have a problem.

Cheap looking? LOL, you're flying Ryanair or EasyJet, nothing looks cheap after that!
I'm not proud. If they're the cheapest to where I want to go I'm happy. This year though only 2 return sleazyjet and one oneway Ryanair. Rest are bmibaby and monarch. TBH I love Ryanair to Almeria - new planes so own steps, touch down, stop, steps down & off. None of this poncing around waiting on steps to get wheeled into position. Don't they know that's eating into my holiday time .
That's the one you want. The one you've settled on has wheels - they are costing you 25% of the possible capacity, ie it only holds 33 litres instead of 44.
I know, but I have a bad back and used to struggle carrying 10k.
What I want is a sturdy shell case, the maximum size, with removeable wheels which I can pop off and stick in my pocket. Hmmmmmmmm.......... off to google then the inventing shed
Oh. Too late. Others got there first. V dear though .

You may think that, I couldn't possibly comment  Lol.Little_bit_dizzy wrote: »In all fairness, the difference in cubic capacity between Ryanair and Easyjet (200 cubic centimetres) is the equivalent to (about) the size of a Rubics Cube, so for me its not a viable option to buy a specific bag for a specific airline.
Sorry, but you're mistaken on this, the difference in theoretical maximum capacity between 44l and 64l is nearly half as much room again in your case - considerably more than Rubics cube. That's why it's worth pursuing, given there's no weight restriction on easyjet as long as you can easily lift your case into the overhead lockers.Hope is not a strategy.0 -

Quite a few Rubics cubes.0 -
19 litres is the same as an 11 inch X 11 inch X 11 inch box.
seems quite a lot0 -
I'm off on a Thomas Cook holiday with a proper suitcase tomorrow (as long as they don't go bust in the next 24 hours
). How nice to take a handbag (albeit a large one ) as hand luggage - I can even pick it up without flinching
.
My lightweight Tripp one was great for Spain though :T (quick tip - additional shoulder bag under jacket doesn't get noticed :rotfl:)A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

This wheeled cabin bag is really good. It is light and folds away when you are not using it.

It is £35 but you get two for the price of one in the january sale (just type january sale into the box on check out)

This one on the Argos website looks a bit of a cracker for easyjet and Jet2 (Argos new catalogue is just out).

Stated dimensions are 55 x 41 x 24cm, and reviews state it works for easyjet. No external pocket, but a lightweight hard sided case where the wheels don't seem to "waste" a lot of the dimensions, and it's currently only £19.99 . You can see a video of it being demonstrated on the Argos site. Think I'll get one and see what it's like - if I do I'll report back!Hope is not a strategy.0 -
Sorry to bounce an old thread but has anyone bought one of these styles?

Just wondering if they are easy to pull along0
