Right, whilst its a bit quiet, ive made a decision re our relocating!
We own the house we live in, its on for sale or rent. We also have a house that we rent out from when we moved previously. We have been looking at buying a new house and selling our current home.
Done loads of workings out and have decided we should move back into our old house.
Pros, no hassle! Great schools, beautiful area lots of ts!
Cons, small house no garage, but a loft we dont have in this house.
At mo we have 3 bathrooms and a toilet, all rooms are very spacious tiny garden tho and on an estate
Old house is a listed cottage but has a stream in the garden, no neighbours, 3 small bedroom, and i mean small! But the garden is neRly 2 acres between woodland. I used to keep chickens and ducks and breed them and sell at market. I had over 50 of each in houses that i made whilst massively pregnant! The children used to love it, they had a 12 ft trampoline and a park of their own. We had a log burner too and plenty of fallen trees around us to keep it going, im also very handy with a chain saw! We also have a septic tank so water was only £38 a year:T we pay £43 a mo th at mo:mad:
Taking everything into account we will save £600 a month on mortgage, utility bills and travel to T!
Not sure this is going to work but we love the house and location and we lived there for 6 yrs. y eldest at the moment has a huge bedroom with a dressing room that i made into a games room, and his own bathroom. He will have a box room but my argument is, he gets out of bed, sits on his gamer chair then crawls back to bed so he doesnt need the space! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

Woo,l I know which way I'd go and it would be the way your going, back to the old house, sounds idyllic, it's a no brainer
One batroom and no extra toilet? Mind you, they are all boys so easy for them outside if desperate!
Needs a bit of work on old house so i thought i could get it done while we live there. Damp is a bit of an issue, house is built into a hill and front door is upstairs!
Im not shy of hard work and think it will be fab for the kids.
Biggest worry is that we will be back close to ex who is no longer alliwed contact with ds1, the savings will mean we can pay court and solicitors off a lot quicker that built up after his last antics to £24k
I also had a greenhouse that i got for £50 when my local diy closed and i built 6 raised beds from some planks i got from a scaffolding supplier for £1 each. We had an old milk cart on the drive and sold the eggs and veg from it with an honesty box.
We did go into garden on a few occassions to find parents with kids on our park and tourists at the table outside with their flask and sandwiches! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

Another really good way to get free beauty stuff is to product test for B00ts. Unfortunately they are not recruiting at the moment, but here is the link is anyone wants to keep an eye on it.
Once you have registered you just sign onto their website to see which trials they are running, and apply for the ones you are interested in. They post it to you, with a questionaire to send back in a pre-paid envelope.
I seem to get something new most weeks. I've had mascara, foundation, eye shadow, eye liner, lip gloss, body lotion, body scrub, shower gel, hand cream, foot cream, shampoo, conditioner, day cream, night cream, eye cream, face serum and more.

Just a quick question, does anyone know if there are new electrical reductions tomorrow? My brother just reported in from my local extra saying he overheard part of a conversation on the shift change at the electrical desk. One said to the other " you wanna see the list of bargains coming in tonight.......I'll have a good look through it all and leave you over some stuff". Last time he heard a conversation like this was at the start of the silly prices and he managed to get a cheap netbook! Wonder if the direct warehouse has had a clearout again....may have to have a scanning session in the morning
Thats interesting as in theory they would have no knowledge of price changes till the computer spits them out and prints new labels.
Sounds more likely a store to be refurbished and the old stock is coming to that store.
Could be wrong though!! It does happen.......OCCASIONALLY!0 -

h confirmed bloodwork was all good showing liver and kidney function good, thyroid good and sugar levels ok. He said the xray was perfectly normal. He did say the ECG was fine but showed a left axis deviation. He said this was of no clinical significance.....a quick google doesn't exactly confirm that though! lol.
He did say he'd neglected to ask for a cholesterol test and should get that done and then go back to see him. Hmmmm.
the bloods are reasssuring; i'd say that's the most important thing.
the ecg showing left axis deviation (LAD) is also ok. if there was LAD plus other weird 'n' wacky changes on the ecg then that would be a worry.
just a quick explanation for those interested:
the 'axis' represents the direction of electrical flow along your heart. the left side of your heart is bigger than the right side (because the left side needs to pump blood around your whole body; whereas the right side only pumps blood to the lungs). therefore, there's always going to be more electrical flow along the left side of your heart due to the increase muscle mass present on that side. one particular cause of LAD is when you have more muscle mass on the left hand side - something which isn't life threatening.

Oh 1p chocs! remember the 1p haloween ones just before Christmas, went down a treat at the Christmas fair in a Christmassy bag!! lol
May I ask if people are finding them in the seasonal isle with the last of the crimble reductions, or hidden with all the ripped packages and dinted tins?..Theres still a sealed box of 'Little miss scary' haloween packs of sweets on the top shelf at my extra!! Bet they are out of date now, and probably gone off 1p to 'item not recognised' after all this time! Cant grumble though, as we did get a nice amount of caramel heads and Shrek jellies and choc lollies at the time!

River in the garden, loads of space, one loo in the bathroom(Years ago my mum & dad only had an outside loo in the garden;)) perfect for kids:) And you loved it before;)
Something happened to me today that has really made me think. I met a good friend this morning who told me that her husband had on Friday been diagnosed with cancer. They are the same age as me and my OH. Tomorrow they go to find out about treatment etc. She lives in an enormous house, has everything, is super minted and is a lovely person. It's knocked me sideways and sort of made me think life is too short, do what makes you happy when you can and money and space are'nt everything, being happy is:)This is from me who used to be Mrs materialistic till a few years ago. Hope that makes sense, it sounds like deep down you want to go for it, so do it;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
