just catching up....big hugs for 3dogs and Blondynurse....sending lots of love to get you both through this awful time... and big hugs to Tinyshoes too...hoping they can help your mum and alleviate her symptoms and pain xxx :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

no glitches to report...but did manage to get out earlier last night and found that they seem to whoopsie abbout 6.30 in my nearest local...i normally dont get there til about 7.30 and sometimes theres not much left...even last night there wasnt much left but got a couple of lemon & peppered cod fillets for 70p and pork chops for 90p (not as good as some peoples but good for me!).

also saw upstars in the 'entertainment' section that Pringles were RTC at 49p (didnt check the best before date but there were loads) in salt & vinegar and sour cream.....but in my other local these were priced at £1.49 each of 2 for £2

After reading your post last night as you were going to your local for whoopsies I dashed off to mine. Hadn't been for whoopsies for ages and don't know what time they reduce right down these days.
Got there to find burger all in the reduced cabinet and what was in there was still at silly prices. Nothing that I wanted anyway.
Thursday night used to be a good night in my local for whoopsied meat too. Oh well, try again another day lol
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

6/10 - suceeded in improving - although more room for improvment !

Catch up later guys - Blondy im thinking of you ! x
  • I go about 4pm to mine & they always seem to have plenty of stuff, usually half price but Im happy to half my shopping bill for the week. Somethings especially if they have a lot of it will be 90% off but I have worked out that in this store if you leave it too late its all gone. Maybe its the same in yours Altojack. My other local store, an extra, you can go to at 30mins b4 closing time on a Sunday & they will still have shelves full of stuff marked up with 10% off. So its very much how keen the store is I think.

    Points covered??

Not even remotely I'm afraid. It seems MSE ignored their own system as clearly outlined in the FAQ's.

Having been treated harshly he reacted angrily. I won't excuse that, but have you or another member of the admin team never reacted angrily in your life??? Come on Andrea cut the guy some slack please.....as I've understood it he has apologised, and you can see he has overwhelming support on here as he's a thoroughly nice guy. Can you ever remeber a time when someone hadd this level of support because I can't.

How about something like suspending him till Feb 1st then allowing him on 'licence' into the care of the members of this thread?

It'll make you feel good too to do something nice and help the guy along. Go on, you know you want to! :)
I think you will find that that was said in the heat of the moment when really upset. How many of us has said things that we don't necessarily mean? Having had time to calm down he did contact you with regard to the warnings that you said he had received and why you didn't follow the rules of of temp bans first, and in the hope that both sides could come to a compromise.

    Hi

Don't like criticising MSE because I love this site to bits and it and its members have helped me turn my life around.

BUT, if ever there were an example of someone making a mistake in the heat of the moment, then it has to the posting on open forum the text of HC's PM following his ban, posted by a member of the MSE admin team. There were two apologies due here and to my knowledge HC has made his. There is clearly ground to move to the middle on this and I very much hope MSE has the grace to shift their position.

I think the only way to move things along and get some resolution are to take the case & all its facts to a higher level. The MOD's involved are clearly not seeing any wrong doing on their part. The fact that they posted a private email on an open forum is a disgrace in itself.:mad::mad::mad:

An easy sweet to make is to melt a bar of choco;ate, put a teaspoonful in a small paper case or even on greaseproof paper, top with a marshmallow, another dollop of choc then top with a Smartie. Hey presto .... one top hat.

    HTH:)

Hi BarleySugar , we try to do a quiz as well , if you contact Snap Ant they will give you a key to the door .

    Hello Andrea

Thanks for responding. I do appreciate that a large forum like this has to have rules, and that there are good reasons for these. Also I appreciate that in the heat of the moment you did receive a quite rude email.

We are just asking for the forum team to be extra kind and helpful, and really consider Happy's medical condition.

The easy thing to do would be to keep saying no, but the compassionate thing to do would be to let him come back.

There are enough posts on here with little snappy comments. Happys were never like that, and he brought a smile to a lot of peoples faces.

    Thank you for reading this.

Everyone who contributes or even just lurks on this thread all really want HC back. Please show some compassion for him:):):)
