I really really need a good glitch too, and ditto, not chocolate.
Last night I did an inventory of my choc:
44 TCO, 66 cadbury's mini eggs, 34 lindor, 13 Koko truffles, 10 Mingles, 16 bars CDM, 12 packs of the (5 packs) smarties and 4 packs of the mint aero.
That's besides the 4 tins Roses, 4 boxes QS, 3 boxes of Toblerone one-by-ones, 4 boxes McVitie's Victoria Biscuits and umpteen halloween haribo.
Then there's the packs of Christmas Cake mixes and cup cakes ....
Lol!! You put me to shame!!:rotfl:
blondynurse wrote: »my darling little dog has kidney failure heart failure an irregular heart, fluid retention from head to foot, dementia and now behavioural problems. She has had thousands of pound worth of medication and surgery 4 times to save her life. We have been through hell and high water with our wee dog which we have shown love and compassion too over 13 years, our vet has her on medication for her heart kidneys irregular heart beat etc. She also has swollowing difficulties and choking due to the fluid on the back of her throat and lungs. She is biting the other pets biting myself my husband and the children. I believe she is suffering she can't stand being petted because i believe she is in too much discomfort. The has unfortunately thinking constantly and eating everything in sight including things are not for consumption, and this has twice made her suffer a torsion to her stomach. I for one fully understand her medical problems as i have a degree in nursing. My post was for support to deal with these problems and for anyone to advise me how to deal with this for my issues because people who have had to face this before could shed some light or how they have coped with it. We have also 2 cats which my dog is biting at. I have to take responsibility for everyone in our household including our other pets. this is not being discussed for someone like yourself to insult and cause further upset. I am a very caring person who loves animals. I think your reasons for posting this are obviously from some other deep rooted problem and this is maybe something you should have looked into, perhaps anger management. Also i don't think a forum is a place you will "belong" as you very much use an offensive approach.
Regards all the lovely support of messeges on the forum and support from pm's i would like to thank you all very much, for every inch of support and kindness regarding this awful position i have found myself in. The good thing is the above poster is in a minority so i like to believe the majority of people are generally good and have good intentions which helps me sleep at night. Take care you all, tomorrow is going to be a difficult day x
What an absolutely gorgeous and heartfelt post. A fantastic Mummy you've been to your children and your pets. :Axx

My brother had my dog put down. Was the best thing for her. I'd never want her to suffer after all the love she gave me when others faltered That was fifteen years ago and we all still talk about her

If it should be....
If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
and pain should keep me from my sleep,
then you must do what must be done,
for we know this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand,
but don't let grief then stay your hand,
for this day, more than the rest,
your love and friendship must stand the test.
We've had so many happy years,
what is to come can hold no fears.
Would you want me to suffer? So,
when the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend,
only stay with me until the end,
and hold me firm and speak to me,
until my eyes no longer see.
It is a kindness that you do to me,
although my tail it's last has waved,
from pain and suffering I have been saved.
Do not grieve, it should be you,
who must decide this thing to do.
We've been so close, we two these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
For all of you going through the heart break of losing a beloved pet. xxxx

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow Blondynurse. I know it's hard but you did the right thing telling your kids. The number of people I know whose dog "went to live on a farm" is terrible so I'm grateful to my parents for letting me have a last goodbye.scamps1966 wrote: »There are times that you really, really want to punch someone, I applaud the fact that you didn't. Karma - it does happen and some day he'll get his in spades. Some people are so heartless, (((hugs))) Caz xx
You get some weird folk in life, you just learn to ignore them and eventually they'll crawl back under their rock. I just keep hoping that the boss' wife found out about the affair he was having that our entire company knew about (he was her boss). Poor woman brought their latest child in to show around while his 'bit on the side' cooed over the baby. Needless to say there were a few of us nearly meeting our breakfasts again.0 -
Could be worse ... you could be a habit wearing nun!!
You're not are you? :rotfl:
I can confirm she isn't.
Was good to have a chat today Debs, sorry to read news about the insurance. I do not know how they are allowed to wriggle out of things so easily. Have not finished reading back yet but was the advice about household insurance any good?
Looks like we missed a good one today by Wools post, guess was the store we talked about the Pantene being at.Still if we had found it we would have had to toss a coin I think. :rotfl:
Just want to give a few hugs out to Blondynurse, Beki and bensonsmum, hope have not missed anyone but am sort of skim reading and not totally caught up yet.0 -
