I've been ages catching up, ploughing through the Boots stuff ...... I'm not complaining, loving everyones bargains

Fudge_Cake - glad you got the right advice and I see that little doggie seems better now :D

debsjc - terrible thing to happen to parents on their holiday, made much worse when it's irreplaceable items like the engagement ring :(

Snap-ant - I loved the harder questions on the quiz yesterday - I got 4th place, my best placing so far :j :j

Lots of other ((hugs)) and :j :j as appropriate

Mr 3Dogs went for his first physio session today for his sciatica and the physiotherapist was amazed that, despite having back problems since the age of 18 when he fell off a ladder, he has never had an x-ray of his back  She was also puzzled as the pain is on extension rather than the normal compression. He has some gentle exercises to do and has another appointment for next Wednesday

The vet rang with the results of our eldest Bonnie's blood tests from last week ............ and it is not looking very good, with kidney count high, liver count fairly high, and cholestrol a little high, which points to renal/kidney disease or adrenal disease/cushing disease - I have made an appointment to see the same vet for 5pm tomorrow to discuss these results, but we have talked about it and really don't want to put Bonnie through any more, so will be going knowing that I will probably not be bringing her home :(:(:( It's all about her quality of life, not keeping her alive to be with us :(:( she's 16 years old, showing it, but has had a good life :)
    :( Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12 :( 3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13 :(

    Hi to All ,

In the interest of fairness to all MSE'rs in the quiz we are striving to make sure that all that play the quiz are registered on this site .
We all know that a certain unknown player in the past have spoiled our efforts with super quick times and constantly scoring 10 out of 10 .

We've noticed that a player who goes by the name of Zoso doesn't seem to match any of the regular id's on here and are wondering if Zoso is someone on here using a different id .
They seem very very good scoring 3 wins in 6 goes with some super times . Well done to them .

So if you are Zoso please come forward and say Hello .

If their score is really good and they look really clever then its me, if they are getting worse scores than this Mharzuk person then its not me after all :rotfl:

I also used to leap onto the bed after I turned my light out in case hands grabbed my ankles.

    ...I still do that sometimes:o

I know - let's have another 'difficult' quiz tomorrow :D

This thread is perfect - it shows what harmony & shared interests there are amongst 'cyber' friends - that it can keep going without uttering the T word

As soon as there is a glitch or another load of 4p clothes, cheap electricals or 1p clipstrips, I would imagine the thread will go back to how it was.
I think people are just keeping it going with the chat and recipes etc. while it's quiet.
I know the bargains are the main reason for the thread being here, but I know I'm not bored with it as it is at the mo.
I like the more "social" aspect to it. It's lovely.
It's like belonging to the WI or something like that .....with the odd (and odd being the operative word here ;)) bloke thrown in for good measure!
I just hope when the glitches start rolling in, we'll still have time to chat, swap recipes etc. :)
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Well done to everyone with their Boots bargains today. I spent £26 to cover Mothers day, birthdays and party presents.

Im after a bit of advice - went to eat some of my Harry Hill Nuts today and found that 6 packets that I bought dec/jan, are best before April 2011!! I moaned to my other half that I had "wasted 6p!!".
Firstly, would you eat them? and secondly should I contact HO (never done that before), or should I just put it down to bad luck?

Found a Value tent (not pop up as previously quoted) 8039 for 75p. It's great for the children to play in and would also be good for beach shelter in the summer.

i would open a pack try one, if it smells ok and tastes ok they should be fine, most things like choc, biscuits, dry goods are fine for months even years after the best before date, the best before date is just a guide for the quality of an item, unlike the use by date which means if it is eaten after the use by date it could possibly be harmful to your health. for the past few weeks i have been eating oat so simple that were best before april 2011, they are fine, and im still here :rotfl:
