  • Hi all, just in so not caught up on thread - popped in to Mr t to get milk on way home, was at checkout behind a T manager(suited in T colours) well did she have some bargains... an acoustic guitar, hand bags - £1 each and some hair products, shampoo conditioner all yellow stickers at 8p - I did congratulate her ask and where did she find them and were there any left - she mumbled a lot and I pushed it saying I was a bit def and again repeated my question, still mumbling stuff she packed her trolley and said no these were the last, but said the hair products were from last wk and she had put them away. I then said loudly to the lovely cashier 'I bet you don't get a chance to grab these bargains do you' - I don't mind the staff getting the bargains but I have a few mates on till and they never get to see them!

Eeek that's not good. Might be worth an email to C.S. about that.
I don't know how it happened....they are usually quite soft. I don't eat toffees because they can pull fillings out, but I've never had a piece of tooth actually break off like this. Thank God it's not one at the front :rotfl::rotfl:

Got the HP 3050A via the HP staff site (shhhhhh but it's not secured for staff only!). The printer and 2 replacement inks (1 colour & 1 black) for £35 plus 10% TCB. I'm using Voldemorts ancient LaserJet and I'm getting too many suspicious looks for black & white coupons so I shall be like Lady Muck now, sitting in the living room, wirelessly printing coupons and what not don't you know :D

A tip when getting cartridges for this printer, Mr T charge £12.97 for Black and about £15 or £16 for tri-colour, or a pack of the two for about £25 or £27, but I just bought the pack of black and colour for £15.73 including p & p from ebay ;);)

Anyone else have to go for sun-ray treatment due to Vit D (£) deficiency? Had to go twice a week I think it was when in primary school and sit there in a group of kids injust my knickers in front of a large sun lamp :o:o
Oh no, that's not too good. My dad is a fan of Midget Gems and according to him the ASDA ones taste just like Lyons brand. In the Tesco ones, do the black ones taste like liquorice?

Why oh why did they change the black ones to purple 'blackcurrant' ones - they've never been the same and used to be my favourite sweetie. Have Asda's midget gems got black ones?

  • Well done to everyone with their Boots bargains today. I spent £26 to cover Mothers day, birthdays and party presents.

Im after a bit of advice - went to eat some of my Harry Hill Nuts today and found that 6 packets that I bought dec/jan, are best before April 2011!! I moaned to my other half that I had "wasted 6p!!".
Firstly, would you eat them? and secondly should I contact HO (never done that before), or should I just put it down to bad luck?

Found a Value tent (not pop up as previously quoted) 8039 for 75p. It's great for the children to play in and would also be good for beach shelter in the summer.

I have been given a gift card when I returned an item without a receipt and also have exchanged - but I asked for the gift card at the time. It wasn't a DTD any time though i'd say i've done more than 3times! Im in mid ulster !

    Good for you !
I didn't get to any stores today or all week except mon when they were closed, as my two wee men are seriously ill - have chest/throat and ear infections and high temps - no getting out for me i doubt - can't win them all

I hope your wee men get better soon, for your sanity.

stores there must be friendlier than in Belfast.
According to one SA yesterday they have been told not to think for themselves and if the customer doesn't have a reciept they've to call the manager and under no circumstances to do anything without checking first. Even with DTD's they've got to phone the duty manager to get it authorised now.
I have been accused of constantly seeking out DTDs in one store, I wouldn't mind being accused but I've only ever been to that store twice, once to return stuff and only went there because I was dropping stuff off down the road from it and the second time I did go seeking the DTD because I knew they had some of the item a week before. CS SA said I'd got DTDs almost daily in that store, I asked her for proof because if she checked up on my clubcard she'd see I'd only ever been in twice. She tried to get security guard to back her up but he told her she needed proof before accusing people randomly.

    Evening all :)

There is nothing worse than being on the bones of your backside moneywise and the freezer looking emptier each day! So I had £20 left in my purse which has to last me until the end of next week, so a huge thanks to Mr T tonight. Calculated my stash of whoopsies £98.30 worth for £13.44   It was only myself and the reduction girl :o. Got bacon, sausages, fish, salmon, stewing steak, chops chicken breasts and loads more.

    Well done you :T
I couldn't be bothered going out tonight so am going to have to pay full price for my veg and bread tomorrow. After reading your post though, I wish I'd gone now !

I like the Asda black ones too and their wine gums are definitely harder than tesco's.
Sainsbobs are softer too, but a bit tasteless.
It's only Asda that have the liquorice black ones.
