On the subject of returning DTD items.....If you decide to take them back without the receipt, you will only be allowed to exchange them for something from the same section. ie; If it's toys, you won't be allowed to exchange for food.
I had this happen to me when I wanted to exchange one of the 3 for 2 knife sets. (which btw have now gone up to £27.50 and no 3 for 2!!)My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

I was driving into a bridge quite happily, I was going to fly away over the bridge until I actually came to it, thankfully I swerved and got myself out of the pickle. It hadnt dawned on me until about 5 minutes later what had happened... I called with my OH (who worked about 5 minutes away, I was in such a state he drove me home and phoned the doctor, this was when he told me that they didnt agree with me and for my OH to go down and collect another sort of anti-depressants. I was on them for 9 months and kept nagging my doctor that I wanted to come off them, in the end he gave in.. 10 months later I was back on them.. and I stayed on them for 8 years.
I came off mine year last August, but I like you feel this anxiety sometimes, after discussing this with a friend she advised me to try the "Rescue remedy" the makers are "Bach".. Ive got the dropper formula, I put 4 drops on my tongue and it does take the edge off it... They sell it in Boots, its quite expensive but it sure is worth it, and lasts a long time.. might be worth you trying it..
I've never been on anti depressants but I couldnt survive without my St Johns Wort. You have to be careful as their are a few other medications you can't mix it with but I find it brilliant. I started to take it when I was a bit down after I lost my dad and now I couldnt be without out. Don't think it's pychological either because a while back I stopped it for a few weeks and kept ending up in floods of tears, few weeks back on it and I was fine again. Worth a try if you're feeling a bit "down", obviously not an alternative for anti depressants but good if you need a little lift:)Thrifty_Sister wrote: »Hello evryone - Happy New Year to all. Not been on here for what seems like forever and want/need to get my life back after the worst christmas/new year ever which followed one of the worst years ever. (Sorry don't mean to be a drag but I lost somebody very close to me (why does it always happen to the best) and have been ill so probably feeling a bit sorry for myself atm).
Can anybody fill me in briefly re any think important and WHAT has happened to Happychappy? I have been trying to skim read and did I read correctly that he has been banned? Noooooooooooo-surely not:(:(
HC has been given a lifetime ban for using colourful language:(:(:(Apparently he had warnings which he didnt receive and then that was it, he was banned. We all desperately want him back and he hasnt been treated too fairly so we are doing everything we can to get him back.Their have been far worse than him and they have'nt been banned. He's still lurking though and is in touch with some of us. He won't come back under a false name, he wants to come back under his right name HappyChappy:)
And Debs so sorry to here about your mums burglary:(Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Grrrrrr I missed the Boots sale today (after being kindly tipped off by Gemin Jes of what was left in my local store) because we had visitors and then my father-in-law was taken ill. He had a "funny turn". He is 90 years old and lives on his own. Anyway, he is fine now which is the main thing.
Managed a quick trip to Tesco for some basics and saw the Persil Non Bio (54 washes) on offer for £5 and I had one of the £1 off coupons. I bought it but was charged £10 (£9 minus the coupon). I went to CS and they were only going to give me £5 back but I mentioned DTD and they gave me £10. So not a bad trip.0 -
:T:T:T thank you both!
Well you learn something new everyday, turns out a "stupid" question just earned me an £80 profit:eek::eek::eek: Goodbye straighteners it was nice knowing you...won't be taking them back to the same store though!!
I did honestly think it would cause a super-trouting at CS but you have spurred me on...love this place I really do!:D
BEWARE!!! Some CS SA's will refund, others won't some the original price, others what you should have paid. You are entitled to what you SHOULD have paid but it really can be a lot of hastle most of the time and is a sure fire way of getting yourself remebered.0 -
Not sure about the lovely.
:o:o
Ha you spent more than me....well in that store.
£66 in Poole and just over £70 in Bournemouth, about £10 at Branksome and about £10 at Westbourne (and £10 of points there too.) Oh dear looks like I spent about the same as last year £150ish and I was going to be bit more careful this year too. That is to be split between me and mum though so not worked out the final outcome yet. Will have to do that one on my own without Caz2703's help. :rotfl:
Got back just before 2pm. Had a bit of lunch before catching up on here as had not eaten anything this morning because when I woke up it hurt a bit to swallow, hope I'm not going down with anything.Took some paracetamol about 7.30am and have felt fine since but that could just have been the adrenalin pumping.
Going to send you a PM as got something in Bournemouth I think you might like so got an extra.
Why not Boscombe or Castlepoint ?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Useful folding crates from Argos for all the 'stash'
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9327234/c_1/2%7Ccategory_root%7CLimited+Stock+Clearance%7C17503661.htm?store=Newtown
I only have 1 spare crate for the car now. I'll not tell you how many I started withThose ones look good but none in stock near me. Ts sell similar ones (funny that) which every now and again they have on offer at 3 for 2 and £2each. They've changed designed though so the new ones may be dearer.
Nikki - payback for the help last nightFor a girl who doesn't wear make-up and is coming down in the £7 facial wipes, what other No7 stuff could I get that won't break the bank? Thanks hon.

I need to get some veg and bread etc. but really can't be bothered to go out.

Besides whoopsies is there anything worth going to T's for at the mo? I haven't been for 10 days now.
Am dithering whether to trek 12 miles each way to T's or 2 miles to Sainsbobs....what do you reckon??My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0
