:rotfl:They do look good, especially if they fold flat when not in use (which maybe never ) Try the black ones?

Anyone know when the persil 85 wash bottles offer was supposed to end ? I'm almost certain it was the 23rd but my local store has ended it already, same with the comfort pure 42 wash bottles.

Just had a text from my parents who are on holiday in Tenerife. They have had all their cash, my mums cards and mums jewellery stolen from the hotel room (and it was locked inside a case)
The jewellery is the worst thing, they took her engagement ring and other sentimental items. :(

I'm so upset and angry that people could do that. I've travelled all round the world and never had anything stolen, even in notorious places like Brazil, and this happends in tenerife.

:mad::( That's so awful Debs. I'm not surprised that you're upset and angry, some people just have no repect or humanity, it would make me angry too. When the items are irreplacable and sentimental, it makes it all the worse :( I really hope that your parents are ok and will atleast be able to try and gain some enjoyment from the rest of their holiday. :A

    Thank away artha :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope all got what they needed ;) x

I could`nt get my seat belt on,on the journey back....still plenty of bags to soften the blow had Toni`s OH had made a emergency stop :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Leenie your posts always make me chuckle, you and Toni have a similar relationship to me and my mum. She's a complete technophobe, she's just worked out how to turn the PC on!! But if she could she'd happily be on here enjoying the banter and the glitching (when it happens, come ON Mr T!!!)

Sounds like you had a blast this morning :T:T:T and yes I saw the candle teacups, they're gorgeous and I think they will look stunning at Toni's wedding reception. Shabby chic is definitely the way forward :D

  • I popped into my local Boots this morning to have a look at the sale as everyone had been so excited about it.

Quite one of the worst displays of greed I've ever witnessed close up.

They had been open for more than half an hour so I had probably missed the worst of it but there seemed to be organised groups with one 'member' up at the shelving passing items back to others standing slightly further back guarding their enormous mounds of gift sets and the like.

It was like this in Boucher store, many of the ladies I spoke to had been to Sprucefields and Lisburn before hitting there and I was there at 9.30am
They were in 'packs' of 2, 3 and 4. One standing guard over the baskets and the others off 'forraging' and bringing back only to put the stuff onto the nearest shelf.
I was looking through one of these shelves when I heard an 'Oi!! That's mine!' and turned to see someone who I knew was 2 aisles away when I started to look at the stuff and the lady who put the stuff there said to help myself.
I hate this sort of person so put ALL the stuff into the basket trolley I'd managed to find and walked round asking other people if they would be interested in any of it and it was all gone by the time the shouter got to me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Made me and a few other people smile to see her reaction when I told her if she'd just came up and asked if I was taking any I would have said no and she could have her choice. Got a little clap from a very friendly SA who found some nice stuff for me, we'd been talking about this sort of person at sale time.

wow! Its taken me ages to catch up! I had to resort to lurking from work! Apologies if I havent thanked any posts along the way, there were so many and i got a bit lost as to what page I was up to!

Not going anywhere near Boots or T today. Havent got the energy :-(

On a seperate note, I am still arguing with the travel agents about my refund from easyjet- they confirmed to me in writing that they made 2 transactions and the travel agents are saying that there is only one :-( I have been talking about legal action all along, but now it looks like I might actually have to do it. *sigh*

Completely OT but I've had a call from my MIL wanting me to go on a trip to Blenheim Palace and Bletchley Park in June.
I did the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace....and Downton Abbey (Highclere Castle) last year and I think she's hoping these little breaks might be a regular thing.
I know Blenheim was the birthplace of Churchill and Bletchley was where they cracked the enigma code....but if anyones been, are they well worth visiting on a special trip.....or just if you were up that way?

i agree...i went to the store nearest to me 10 minutes after it had opened...and the sale aisles were rammed...people pushing and shoving (even the elderly were joining in :rotfl:)....had my 2 DDs with me (age 1 and 3) and they were shoved and pushed all over...so we left the scrum and got the vitamins instead!!

TBH, i had a look at a couple of the gift sets and they looked carp...the S&G tin jut had 3 or 4 bits thrown in (didnt look appealing - thought they fluffed it up a bit with tissue paper etc)...found one lone mens Ted Baker set ...out of the 2 bits it shouldve contained, only one was in the bag

i would suggest that people actually check the contents of each package before gifting them...wouldnt want someone to receive it as a present with bits missing!

Both myself and friendly SA I was talking to spotted a lady swaping No7 stuff and putting it into a pack that would have scanned at £2!!!
Security and till ladies were informed and guard spoke to the woman and took the 2 sets off her. Told her that till ladies would be checking EVERY pack that was being bought today because a number of people were being spotted doing this and if she done it again she would be banned. I think she was only saving a few pounds.

It is only greed that makes people do this especially as they were the cheaper sets anyway.
