Just come on to thread and saw this. I'm so sorry to hear your news that is absolutely devastating for them.
:(:(
Was so happy to meet you this morning, and was all excited to tell everyone I finally met a friend of Martins that seeing this has made me feel all horrible for you.
We are not very well travelled but Tenerife is where we had something taken from our hotel room years ago. Luckily in some ways we did not notice until we got home as would have felt very uncomfortable if had found out while there. What we did was folded all out dirty clothes into the empty suitcase as we went. So the thought that someone had rummaged through all that and taken the one and only designer labelled garment still makes me cringe now.
It is very sad that something sentimental has been taken of your mums, I hope that maybe at least that might be found. Sending lots of hugs to you and your parents. Take care.
Thank you, and it was great to meet you as well.
I guess, as mum said the most important thing is that they are both OK. I just need to take a deep breath and concentrate on that. They fly home tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out more then.
I've Pm'd you about a pos non-tesco bargain for your feet!0 -
Oh dear, I only over to the Boots 75% off sale for a few bits, and I ended up spending £99
On the plus side I have stocked up on pressies, and enough smellies to last me the entire year.... and I met the lovely Tinyshoes in there.
Not sure about the lovely.:o:o
Ha you spent more than me....well in that store.
£66 in Poole and just over £70 in Bournemouth, about £10 at Branksome and about £10 at Westbourne (and £10 of points there too.) Oh dear looks like I spent about the same as last year £150ish and I was going to be bit more careful this year too. That is to be split between me and mum though so not worked out the final outcome yet. Will have to do that one on my own without Caz2703's help. :rotfl:
Got back just before 2pm. Had a bit of lunch before catching up on here as had not eaten anything this morning because when I woke up it hurt a bit to swallow, hope I'm not going down with anything.Took some paracetamol about 7.30am and have felt fine since but that could just have been the adrenalin pumping.
Going to send you a PM as got something in Bournemouth I think you might like so got an extra.0 -
I popped into my local Boots this morning to have a look at the sale as everyone had been so excited about it.
Quite one of the worst displays of greed I've ever witnessed close up.
They had been open for more than half an hour so I had probably missed the worst of it but there seemed to be organised groups with one 'member' up at the shelving passing items back to others standing slightly further back guarding their enormous mounds of gift sets and the like.If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
Yikes that IS a bad reaction , I was changed from my normal 20mg fluoxetine (an SSRI class pill) to 75mg Venlafaxine (SNRI) when I had a big shock back in 2009, in my mind the doctor was wrong to put me on them as I was in shock so once I got over it I asked (demanded!) to go back onto my old pills. The SNRIs have me horrible nightmares, increased panic attacks and almost manic episodes, apparently it's not uncommon with that drug (my usual GP told me that today).
I was recently prescribed Imipramine as a migraine preventative even though it's really an antidepressant.
I had to stop taking them because I too had awful nightmares and I was only on a really low dose 10mg
I'd tried another anti D which was far too sedating (although it cured the migraines) and I've tried Beta Blockers which again worked for the headaches but this time gave me insomnia!!
I'm now on an Epilim which is really an Epilepsy med....!!
So far so good as regards to side effects, but I think the dosage will be increased as I'm still getting lots of headaches (but not migraines!)
I think there is always a trade off, whatever meds you take, and sometimes the side effects are as bad as the complaint itself!!My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

i agree...i went to the store nearest to me 10 minutes after it had opened...and the sale aisles were rammed...people pushing and shoving (even the elderly were joining in :rotfl:)....had my 2 DDs with me (age 1 and 3) and they were shoved and pushed all over...so we left the scrum and got the vitamins instead!!
TBH, i had a look at a couple of the gift sets and they looked carp...the S&G tin jut had 3 or 4 bits thrown in (didnt look appealing - thought they fluffed it up a bit with tissue paper etc)...found one lone mens Ted Baker set ...out of the 2 bits it shouldve contained, only one was in the bag
i would suggest that people actually check the contents of each package before gifting them...wouldnt want someone to receive it as a present with bits missing!hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

Not been on here for what seems like forever and want/need to get my life back after the worst christmas/new year ever which followed one of the worst years ever. (Sorry don't mean to be a drag but I lost somebody very close to me (why does it always happen to the best) and have been ill so probably feeling a bit sorry for myself atm).
Can anybody fill me in briefly re any think important and WHAT has happened to Happychappy? I have been trying to skim read and did I read correctly that he has been banned? Noooooooooooo-surely not:(

To all b@@mth people boots at castl@poimt lots of 75percent sale stuff and lots coming out! Only 3 shots though and I took them!
That's the only one I can't fit in on my round trip. What sort of stuff did they have. Missed getting any hair stuff sets this year, trevor sorbie and the likes. Only Umberto Giannia where I went whoever he or she is and probably spelt that wrong.
Better apologise to 11+ers for going over to the other side for a bit. Mr T is just not doing it for me at the moment.0 -
