Well done for doing this FFT, however although meds aren't the answer for everyone, you should go back to your GP I think, new drugs are being developed all the time. The one I've been put on is called Sertraline and is being extensively used as a first point of medication for people with both depression and anxiety, so I'd ask about that specifically. Well done with the other stuff though, I'm a great advocate of 'feeling the fear and doing it anyway' so I completely know where you're coming from there xx
Do you know whats so stupid about the whole thing, I even get anxiety over going to the doctors so I dont end up going, unless its for something that is more physical & clearly visable. Think it comes from low self esteem etc but I can get myself in a right state over even having to make an appointment, yet if its for the kids I have no problem!:rotfl: Its a funny old thing that translates different in everyone, I find with me its so complex & contradictory that I cant be bothered even trying to explain it to the doctor these days! But atleast Im at a stage where I can laugh about it these days.lol0 -

Thanks for that. Usually pick up some goodies for valentines. He is obsessed with smelling good.
I don't do giftcards cos you have to give 20 quid then. I bought clothes from the matalan clearance buy one get one free, plus 20p superdrugs stuff. spent about 1.50ish on each gift.
Maybe morries will have some whoopsies, M&S whoopsies are about 6ish I think.:cool:0 -
Hi all you elite 11-plussers (and lurkers), especially HC; hope you're keeping well, young man.
First off, hugs to all those with aches, pains and other ailments; same to those with sick loved ones.
To those posting pictures of food: Stop it, I'm on a wife imposed diet!
Loving all the nostalgia stuff. I was born in 1961 so pretty much remember everything that's been posted. It's amazing how difficult it is to get kids to believe what we had (or didn't have) back then. Mrs OB and I have serious problems convincing our daughter that there once was a time when we didn't have CDs, DVDs, Xboxs, Wii's, etc. She thinks we're just winding her up.
Been working all the hours of the day since New Year so had no time to come here, except for the odd skim read. No way on this Earth I could catch up completely. Got a day off today, and Mrs OB has given me a list of things to do (so not really a day off)... including a visit to Mr T's, so will post anything I find later.
I will just add before going back to catching up for a bit that I have been most touched by the affection and support shown by all the 'elite 11+' for our friend HappyChappy84. :T :T
As a Moderator and Admin on a couple of 'techie' boards on the net I regularly see first hand 'disciplinary' cases like this. I know that lifetime bans must always be the very, very last resort. I'm quite shocked to see that the forum team have decided a lifetime ban is appropriate in Happy's case, especially given of some of the abuse I see posted (over and over again) by the same old faces in some of the other areas of the board; the Benefits, Praise and Vents, and Discussion Time boards, in particular.
Come on, Forum Team, same rules for all, please.Let the young fella back on the board.
Come back soon, HC, you're sorely missed by many.
OB (Humbled by my mighty 4/10 on yesterdays "what do you know about Americans you've never heard of?" quiz)

Just had a text from my parents who are on holiday in Tenerife. They have had all their cash, my mums cards and mums jewellery stolen from the hotel room (and it was locked inside a case)
The jewellery is the worst thing, they took her engagement ring and other sentimental items.
I'm so upset and angry that people could do that. I've travelled all round the world and never had anything stolen, even in notorious places like Brazil, and this happends in tenerife.
Just come on to thread and saw this. I'm so sorry to hear your news that is absolutely devastating for them.:(:(
Was so happy to meet you this morning, and was all excited to tell everyone I finally met a friend of Martins that seeing this has made me feel all horrible for you.
We are not very well travelled but Tenerife is where we had something taken from our hotel room years ago. Luckily in some ways we did not notice until we got home as would have felt very uncomfortable if had found out while there. What we did was folded all out dirty clothes into the empty suitcase as we went. So the thought that someone had rummaged through all that and taken the one and only designer labelled garment still makes me cringe now.
It is very sad that something sentimental has been taken of your mums, I hope that maybe at least that might be found. Sending lots of hugs to you and your parents. Take care.0 -

i was showing a new, middle manager around this morning. and i went to show him his parking space. i said "that is were you would normally park your car, but someone has parked thier cr*ppy old banger there" to which he replied. "thats my car":eek::eek:
why doesnt the earth open up when you want it to?:o

Have you never read 'The Takeaway Secret' book? The kebabs and sauce, Maccy D's etc are brilliant.
I LOVE this book
I made the chilli chicken chow mein on Monday and did far too much. My OH took some into work with him yesterday and shared it with a couple of his mates. They couldn't believe it wasn't from a takeaway!
They are going to order the book from Amazon. My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Hello evryone - Happy New Year to all. Not been on here for what seems like forever and want/need to get my life back after the worst christmas/new year ever which followed one of the worst years ever. (Sorry don't mean to be a drag but I lost somebody very close to me (why does it always happen to the best) and have been ill so probably feeling a bit sorry for myself atm).
Can anybody fill me in briefly re any think important and WHAT has happened to Happychappy? I have been trying to skim read and did I read correctly that he has been banned? Noooooooooooo-surely not:(:(0
