I always have quite a bit of liquid in mine, saying that I've left chilli con carne in it for hours and its been fine, And mines been on now since 8 this morning and is ok. Was the sauce quite "thick"?

It was a tub of passata that I put in, along with a tin of kidney bean in chilli sauce, so it wasn't overly thick I would say. Maybe that was the problem then, there wasn't enough liquid.

I'm actually rather disappointed because it tasted pretty carp :o:( Didn't help that OH stirred it when he came in and scraped the burnt edges into it

Shall just have to keep trying then, the thing is I'm now kinda wary about leaving it on while we go to work, which kind of defeats the purpose iyswim.

    :hello:Evening all :hello:

Been out since 10am. Vets with my doggies as they're both red and inflames where they had their ops and the stitches seem to be quite embedded in the swelling so we thought we'd check it out. He said that my Mum's been doing exactly the right thing, bathing it with steralised water and applying Savlon cream :) So all's well and he didn't charge us either which I thought was very kind of him :A

Then I went on a 50 mile round trip of 4 Asda's and 4 Boots. A's I had no luck at all, I couldn't find 1 xmas themed item!!:( Oh well some you win, some you lose and I have enough chocolate...probably....maybe.....no I don't have enough chocolate! :rotfl::rotfl:

Boots I had much better luck :D :T

    Anyone in Brist0l : -
Cr1bbs was sold out of both (wasn't me!! Empty when I arrived! :()
Eastg8 was sold out of both (I bought 6 of each)
Br0admead had plenty of Ricolas and shots (make sure you go upstairs, lots of Ricolas up there :D)
Bedm1nster I totally forgot about Ricolas :o:o:o:o Yes I'm a nightmare at times!! So they may or may not have them. Plenty of shots but no cheap vits.

A's I went to Cr1bbs, Eastg8 living store and Bedm1nster and as I said couldn't find xmas grub in any :(:(

    Hope that helps someone :A

Hope all's well, am off to catch up :)xx

Thanks! Thats where I was just headed. Maybe they've restocked since *looks hopeful*

Think it could have been not enough liquid, but saying that it shouldnt have "burnt". Especially if you only had it on low:(But persevere with it because once you get the hang of it it'll be fine. In the beginning I had a few dodgy dinners out of mine, trust me;)

Hmm I'm not sure what to do now, the stew we had yesterday was fine, but there was plenty of liquid in it, but I just didn't expect it to bubble quite so hard. I was thinking slow and leisurley like the name suggests!

OH is talking about taking it back, but I'm not sure yet. Def going to keep at it, I'm determined to get the hang of it! Thanks for the help Nikki :D

Parcel with courier for delivery (ASHTON HOME DELIVERY)16th Jan 2012 10:19

Waiting for a parcel to be delivered by YODEL  i am begining to wonder if its arriving tonight. Would be great if it did while i am in and not out at work.
I even left side gate open when i was out at work thinking parcel would be here when i got back home in one of my bins.
  • just had a quick check in boots b€lf@st city centre and there were plenty of vitamin shots, about 20 on the shelf. at a glance i couldn't see any cheap vitamins under £1 so someone might have got the deal already. i wasn't planning to try it (just checking as i was in getting the clinique mascara exchange) but someone might want to try it with more expensive vitamins so thought I'd let you all know the shots are in stock!

It was the same yesterday SA said they wouldn't be getting the cheap ones in for a while, just waiting on a big enough delivery. Someone bought all they had at store opening yesterday so will be at least a few days before they MAY get some in.
