I filled a form in for this with eon about 3 months ago as we do qualify but never heard anymore from them.

I would chase them again - ESP if you have been told you qualify xx

My late father used to have bread and butter with trifle  and we are gravy moppers and yes I am Welsh :) Me and mam used to dunk huge chunks of bread in the hot meat juices too when she'd roasted a massive joint

Ah bread & dripping sandwiches I used to have these on a Saturday afternoon watching wrestling with my Grandad

In our house, the remote is called "the clicker" :D:D

So anyway, who's found any bargains today while I'm stuck at work?

I did get a whole clip strip of Andrex on the go yesterday - so can confirm they're still a penny.

I'm wondering whether to get the MIL round tonight so I can go bargain hunting, but seems to be a bit of a shortage of the bargains at the mo :/

My dad could not have put a meal together at all, I'm afraid he thought my mum's place was in the kitchen and expect his dinner on the table on the dot. But she was happy to be that way, guess that's why I am nothing like my mum in culinary skills good job OH is an expert. Funnily enough though dad was an excellent pastry cook and fondly remember helping him make apple pies and jam tarts. The leftover pastry always mine filled with my favourite jam into a turnover topped with sugar. We would have been celebrating his birthday today if he was still with us. It's nice to think about some long ago memories, made me smile when Nikki said "buppie" and few people were asking what it was. :)

My dads 2 specialities were french toast and 'egg mashed up in butter in a cup'!

When mum was in hospital I remember Mum asking us what we had for dinner before we visited her and I told her "custard'!

Don't know why your post made my eyes fill up, maybe because it's coming up to my dads anniversary and thinking back over memories is so nice and I probably don't do it often enough.Funny how things can catch you totally unawares sometimes. Sending you some cyber hugs for today Tiny :)

I'm sorry Nikki to have done that to you. It's funny the memories today have not made me well up yet! You are right things do have a habit of catching you when you least expect it. Thanks for the hugs but I am ok it was actually really nice thinking about him (it will be 10 years this march) and sharing with you all. Hope noone minded and I have not caused any more eyes to fill up. :o Sending you a cyber hug too Nikki, sounds like you could do with one. :)

Help needed for a no2 sponge pudding
Saved the recipe - thanks jumble jack
Do I mix all the ingredients first then bung them all in the dish in the microwave?
    Thanks xx
Think I have Sussed it - melt butter first then mix everything ?????

You don't have to melt the butter. Just cream it together with the sugar, add the egg, the mix in the SR flour. You can pop it in the microwave in the same bowl as it is if you want!!!! it really is a miraculous, effortless put!!
