jumblejack wrote: »Fourp. Your dilemma is the same as mine was a couple of years back. Decaf tea just doesn't have the same hit and green tea or herb teas aren't the same. I needed something that tasted fan and could have the addition of sugar and milk.
I found REDBUSH tea (sometimes known as rooibos)
It is On offer at Ts for 84p for 40 bags. Try it. You won't look back. It reminds me a little of earl grey.
It gives the same satisfaction as a real cuppa and you can add the sugar n milk. It is naturally decaf without processing. It also has amazing health benefits.
I challenge you to try it and report back here!!!
Many thanks JumbleJack , I 'll note it and try it , I'm slightly more concerned about the amounts of sugar that I have daily , I've tried tea without sugar in the past but I find it only tastes ok if I dunk half a packet of biscuits or hot buttered toast (it makes the tea taste lovely) in it or wash down a couple of cakes - of course this has other side effects over time like having to wear trousers with bigger waist lines
I think I'll just try to limit myself to x numbers per day ....I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -
The most random recycling I have seen is in Lincolnshire MIL puts glass in with the garden waste!!!!!!!! She says that's what's she's been told to do but not 100% certain she's right on that
Any yellow bellies care to comment?
Ps yellow bellies is a local frog? And not an abusive comment
Pps I'm a relocated yellow belly

my sil told me a story about an elderly gentleman putting glass in the garden waste he insited the council lady told him to when the bin was delivered, when they looked into it she said put your grass in the bin and he was partly deaf:rotfl:0 -

I think we'll soon have to change the name of this thread to avoid being done under the trades descriptions act.....Come on, we NEED a MASSIVE glitch this week!!!My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Our waste goes like this
Black bags - Fortnightly
Recyclable - Weekly. We used to have to seperate but they just through it all in together on the lorry anyway, now it all goes in the same bags.0 -

I would love some advice from 'The Baking Brigade' please.
I am trying to encourage dd to eat more breakfast and I would like to make some breakfast muffins that she could eat warmed, with a hot chocolate on a cold morning. I remember some years ago having a really simple recipe, the main ingredient of which was either All Bran or Bran Flakes + dried fruit, egg (?) - I can't really remember and I have lost it now.
Does anyone have a recipe for something like that? We love all fruit except banana and cherries and are not too keen on nuts but wouldn't mind seeds. I'm thinking maybe some variant of carrot cake perhaps with Bran Flakes and sultanas?
I have tried Googling but can't really find what I want and really don't like recipes which use cups rather than grams or ounces.
Many thanks.If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

Evening all
Just wanting to say a quick hello before I turn in, managed to avoid Ts until today!
Lots happening at home I have only had chance to lurk now and again
Finding it hard to keep up and get into the thread after a 3 week holiday!
Went into Ts today and didnt have a clue what to look for, walked out with couple pints of milk only
Flipping till gave me a £6 off £40 spend, going to have to go in again now!
Good thing is I've tidied up all the boxes of clutter in the garage, looks presentable now, just need to start on the rest of the house now!
Hi to HC if he's lurking, hope you come back soon.
Hugs to all xxx
Hiya Celebrate, Good to see you around again, now about the Boots 75% sale:p:p:p:pAre you going to be there????;)Goodnight to those who are off to bed.
Anyone watched Big Bro..... who do you want to win? I'm liking Gareth, Romeo and Natalie at the mo.
I'm liking the same:)
Afternoon everyone and afternoon HC my little lurker;) Just caught up and should be working:cool: Got a piece of gammon in the oven with honey, and a chicken roasting. The slow cookers on, filled with veg which I'm going to liquidise down, cut the chicken up, bung it in and voila, soup!! Then the chicken carcass goes back in the slowcooker, to make chicken stock. Is this what I'm resorting to? discussing my cooking, OMG we need a major glitch. Can't get enthusiatic about the Boots one, I've done it cos I could;) but I've got loads of Lucozade 1p shots already;)
Hope everyones well, it's cold here but lovely and sunny:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
phew! finally caught up...been at work over the weekend and my broadband is 'experiencing connectivity issues' so keeps dying on me.....but after 3 days amd finally back on track!!!
big hugs to all the poorly people on here....and more hugs to the MSErs parents/in laws who are poorly too.....hopefully everyone will be on the mend soon!
loving the food pics but just never seem to have the spare time to experiment....I get just enough time to get everything done in a day....except ironing which i get to do once the kids are in bed.....and once thats done I just want to put my feet up for half hour before bed!!!
I've even had to cut my Ts trips down to 1-2 daytime trips and 1-2 evening trips  ..... lord knows how I'll cope in a few years when I actually have to work full time!!!
no new glitches for me...although they have changed the SEL on the toasterbags from 44p to £1.75...and they STILL scan at 3.99....when will they learn!!!
off to make a list of all the 'offer' products and which ones are best for coupon usage for tomorrow nights visit....although i should be hoovering....ah well :rotfl:
that's cutting DOWN?!?!:eek::eek: :rotfl:Brodie_mummy wrote: »I don't recycle either for the same reason i barely have room for my bin as it is never mind seperate bins plus i live in an upstair flat so i can't even just open the back door to the garden to dispose of things.
what a relief!I thought it's only me and andreavinne who are the 'naughty' ones
I feel better now knowing there is more of 'us' even though I probably shouldn't
Morning all,
Hope your FIL gets better soon bensonsmum. Definitely sounds like a bit more investigating is needed, so many questions are asked in hopspital it is very easy to get confused after the shock of something like he has been through that maybe some symptons were missed?
Well HC would be proud of me as I had not logged on since friday afternoon and had around 1500 posts to catch up on and the OCD in me, I read every single one while you were all tucked up in bed last night. Luckily someone left the lights on for me, seems no one has turned them off for a few days now, hope the Manager won't have a shock with the electric bill.
Got to bed around 5am this morning, but was too tired talk then. Loved all the pics of cooking, nature etc even though was hard work to catch up it was a pleasure. And the thought of everyone living in one big house not sure whether my OH would go for that, he thinks I'm mad enough.
Not been to Ts for 3 days now, was busy getting DD2 back to uni again, not sure where all the washing suddenly appeared from saturday morning but I did it. After only one week another suitcase full of clean and ironed washing bursting at the seams travelled back yesterday but on the train this time with DD2 in tow. She certainly made the most of her few days back at home after her exams and relaxed with long lie ins and late nights. But she deserved them. Just hoping she passes, gets the results in February.
Had a lovely roast before she left, a stuffed belly pork roast from the butchers counter at Ts, fed 5 of us for about £1.50 was yummy, not sure what flavour the stuffing was but it was delicious.
Here's hoping for a nice big glitch this week, one of those "global" ones as Nikki calls them. :rotfl:
was it called pork shank? or similar?
we had it yesterday as I got it whoopsied the other day and we aren't big fans of itwas the stuffing with oranges or something like that? well, at least I know now not to buy it again
been a busy bee so farduck is in the oven, washing up done, laundry on, had a lovely bath and another coffee
Let's all hope the forum team finds some time today to deal with HC's email sent a few days ago!
Because even though we sometimes carry on as normal we still feel like a family who had one very loved member taken away! And we miss him a lot and we want him back! :A

Take a look on Grabbit...I have just ordered a Time for Tea china cake stand for £3.33 thanks to the OP. It is the same set as the tea pots that were £2 instore a while back. Did not want to take the chance that they may be reduced instore too, but may be worth a look. Wonder if anything else in the range will be discounted.0
