:eek::eek::eek::eek: You don't recycle?
Very little here goes into landfill.......and once you start recycling it becomes second nature.
Don't your council provide you with recycle bins?
We have a grey one for landfill which is collected every fortnight
A Brown bin for compost stuff ie grass cuttings, leaves, weeds, kitchen waste
Then we have clear sacks for plastics and metal
And Blue sacks for all paper and cardboard
I take all our glass bottles to Morrisons or Sainburys bottle bank along with drinks cartons and any old clothes, bedding etc.
I'm a fanatical recycler, even when I'm on holiday I hate to not do it! Here we have the wheelie bins for landfill, plastic goes in white bin liners/clear council sacks and then we have orange crates for a long list of other stuff!I am the same, showers are the way forward and I love them to be so hot I go red
OH hates showers and loves baths and I always moan at him as he can easily spend an hour in there minimum.
I often get shower burn due to the temp of my shower, nothing quite like it!SpiralingDown wrote: »Sorry for going on but it's at times like this I wish my DH was still with us because he would have told them where to go (probably yelled at my dad and we'd not see them for a while) and also we'd be together with no one to ruin our son's birthday. It's just so hard doing things without him
(((hugs))), hope you can find a way to leave soon xNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Only got 5 bags so gave one to my dad and then OH opened all others and dumped them in the tub of quality street & celebrations mixed that we are still eating from Christmas
Oh and we still have 2 unopened tins in the pantry lol
Still got CDM and Halloween 1p sweeties too
So all in all house still looks like at diabetic coma waiting to happen

Ps I/we recycle as much as we can, parents do most of theirs and sister does hardly any grrr. Think this comes from living in Germany about 15 years ago sadly we still recycle less at our doorstep than then Germans could 15 years ago!No. 16 in HCCSC:jFull Time Uni Student & Glitcher :j

We've four recycling bins here - brown wheelie for food waste and gardening - blue for plastics etc - and black for normal - then a blue box for glass bottles etc - its really easy to do when you actually know what you're doing ! And though you think it would take time it doesn't take any ! We have smaller bins insidethe house - for food waste and the plastics and glass are put outside once ready ! Simples !0

Update on FIL is nothing broken!!!, i don't know how - reckon he must be made of jelly or something to fall down the stairs from top to bottom and break nothing!!! but the not so good news is OH has said that his speech isn't right and also dragging his foot when trying to walk rather than lifting it, and also complaining of it feeling as if he has a permanently dead leg. Very badly bruised and obviously shaken up quite badly, apparently they let him go home in the middle of the night and he has spent the night on our sofa as OH couldn't get him up the stairs, also can't stand unaided which means needing help with everything. OH now also really worried as said he can't leave him which means work is out of the question so hes now starting to panic a bit, i know its only day 1 at home and things might improve - hopefully soon, and have told OH to contact the doctors as from what he has said it sounds to me as if he has had a stroke, but OH saying they would have picked up on it in the hospital if he had - but im not so sure. No shopping for me today as it looks like i am going to need every penny i can get my hands on in the next few weeks to cover rent and bills etc. Hope all the rest of you have a great day and get to find loads of goodies xxx
Is easy for things to be missed. Call the doctors out, or get him back to A&E / Hospital to be looked at again. I hope you get an answer soon.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -
Great news that nothing was broken and maybe all/most the other stuff is just the shock and bruising so will go back to normal soon
Thanks for letting us know how he is and keep smiling

Ours is slightly different
One wheelie bin (forgot the colour) is plastic glass and cans
One bin is paper and cardboard
Green for garden and food waste - we have been given a food caddy with compostable bags for in the house so it's easily done
And grey bins for landfill
We still manage to fill 2 small wheelies a fortnight but we do have 3 large dogs and 7 cats and all associated waste products from them with the litter etc
Also MCC does not yet recycle yoghurt pots or meat trays so they have to go to landfill

Ring your doctors NOW - this has all the symptoms of a stroke - sometimes a and E just deal with the obvious rather than look for anything else
Fingers crossed it all OK0
