:eek::eek::eek::eek: You don't recycle?
Very little here goes into landfill.......and once you start recycling it becomes second nature.
Don't your council provide you with recycle bins?
We have a grey one for landfill which is collected every fortnight
A Brown bin for compost stuff ie grass cuttings, leaves, weeds, kitchen waste
Then we have clear sacks for plastics and metal
And Blue sacks for all paper and cardboard
I take all our glass bottles to Morrisons or Sainburys bottle bank along with drinks cartons and any old clothes, bedding etc.
No we dont have recycle bins from council because we are in a block of flats. But we do have them large containers about 100 metres from where we live, i just never thought of recycling until now.0 -
Good morning everyone - a nice fresh morning here in N Ireland. Grounds dry - so good !
Still havn't managed a boots trip yet - we have had a really lovely family weekend - taking the boys out swimming/playground/playzones and fast food:o so am on a mission today - I am wanting to buy some vitamins for the boys if poss - I don't mind having to pay for them and know its not getting the best out of the deal but I'd like to get some cheapo vits cod liver oil for me and DH but can anyone recommend anything that we can get for a 3yr old and 4yr old? Thanks - and any advice on how to make the most from the deal when buying more expensive items?

I wouldn't know where to start, the course itself is free apart from a £25 voluntary fee for the course book, I could skip that but I know they are a charity and so rely on it, might see if they will let me negotiate a little if that isn't too cheeky!
The rest of the money is childcare fee's as I can't take my DD and petrol as it's about 15 miles one way.
Is the course solely for personal interest or could it be described as work-related at all?
I'm not sure if you work or what your circumstances are but just thought that maybe Tax Credits could help with childcare costs if you are eligible.If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
A very good morning to all you wonderful peeps' and also to HC if your around.
Update on FIL is nothing broken!!!, i don't know how - reckon he must be made of jelly or something to fall down the stairs from top to bottom and break nothing!!! but the not so good news is OH has said that his speech isn't right and also dragging his foot when trying to walk rather than lifting it, and also complaining of it feeling as if he has a permanently dead leg. Very badly bruised and obviously shaken up quite badly, apparently they let him go home in the middle of the night and he has spent the night on our sofa as OH couldn't get him up the stairs, also can't stand unaided which means needing help with everything. OH now also really worried as said he can't leave him which means work is out of the question so hes now starting to panic a bit, i know its only day 1 at home and things might improve - hopefully soon, and have told OH to contact the doctors as from what he has said it sounds to me as if he has had a stroke, but OH saying they would have picked up on it in the hospital if he had - but im not so sure. No shopping for me today as it looks like i am going to need every penny i can get my hands on in the next few weeks to cover rent and bills etc. Hope all the rest of you have a great day and get to find loads of goodies xxxVery proud to be Strip club member No 430
