Thats SO funny! My DS (10) has discovered the delights of weetabix with a spoon of nestles milk.

He said yesterday 'oh mum I cant wait till tesco have a glitch on weetabix like they did for honey shredies, then we can stock up and we would never run out'

...then Cookie raider answers his prayers! thank you! Looks like they are perhaps discontinuing the 36 size perhaps? (I usually occasionally get a box of twelve and we struggle to finish it, now he's going through them so fast I cant keep up so this is perfect!)

    I love bargains that I actually need!:money:

Which Asda so I can plan a road trip?

I just couldn't. I'm mortified if postie comes to the door and I'm not dressed. I won't even run out to the bin or out the back of the house in my jim-jams so what makes someone wake up one morning and think "I know, I'll do my shopping in my jammies. It'll save me an hour getting ready and means I don't have to get changed again when I come home".

North Down - home of Rory McIlroy, Van Morrison (though his house was up for sale recently) and me :D

Were I live we wouldn't dream of doing that, a guy lives at the top of the street who used to stand at the front of his house in only his dressing gown  however after speaking to his wife he soon stopped doing that so now we're very civilized but go 5 mins down the road and you'll find that almost everyone stays in their pj's all day. Take their kids to school if they could be bothered, go to tesco's and walk about like that.
Kn0cknag0n3y stopped people walking in wearing pj's a few years ago because they noticed the leves of them going down after each night. A guy was walking in wearing old ones and changed but usually took his old ones with him, one night he forgot them and the next night they caught him but they think he got away with hundreds of nightwear items :rotfl:

I managed 3 packs of whoopsied casserole veg (this time with potatoes already in) for 20p a pack. Debating whether to try the slow cooker on Monday to make the casserole or stick to what I know. I have one of the slow cookers from Ts (blue box) that cost around £10 but I've no idea how the capacity of that one compares to a pyrex casserole dish. If they're the same size I could have one batch in the oven and one in the slow cooker and (sorry for the Sainsbob plug) see if I can Taste the Difference. If the slow cooker can hold 2 batches then I might bite the bullet and just use it on its own.

So any chefs out there, could you help me please? Using Google and a measuring jug, I think the Pyrex dish is 2lt and the slow cooker is 3.3lt. How much space do you need to leave in a slow cooker as I fear there's only room for one batch. Unless I can find a Crock Pot glitching soon!

You can easily measure the size of the dish and slow cooker - fill a measuring jug with water and use it to fill the dishes - just could how many jugs it takes to fill them.

As for leaving room in the slow cooker - there is a lot of opinions on here but I fill mine to about 2-3 inches from the top max, but that is mainly so I can get the dumplings in!!

I have been known to make up a stew the previous day, put it in the dish in the fridge, take it out of the fridge in the morning to put in the slow cooker and put the slow cooker on a timer so that it is ready when we get back. A Godsend at the moment with having to work with my OH so much, we would never get a decent dinner at a decent time otherwise!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Morning to all and HC hope you're well:wave:

The whole going out in pj thing I'd never seen until I moved to a different area (3 miles away). The children and I went in MrM's for breakfast and a lady was in there in pj's, dressing gown, slippers and rollers eating breakfast:eek::eek:
When I mentioned it to someone they told me to look at the local school run I thought she meant in the morning, but she didn't they are in pj's at 3 O'clock picking up.

The mum and son (mother in 50's son late 20's) across the road stand smoking on their front doorstep at any time wearing just dressing gowns. Quite off putting when there's a sudden gust of wind:rotfl:
