How did your sister get involved in that? I would love a company to come round to my house and redecorate, my house is in desperate need of a makeover.

  • Its in Lincolnshire, just below Cleethorpes. Its a 5 hour round trip for us but was absolutely worth it. The pups will mostly have gone now but they start coming back around October through to the end of december every year.

I didn't know that...will have to take a detour the next time we go up to Florida aka Cleethorpes in the world of the little meerkat, it's great to be able to take my dd to Florida as often as we want :D:D:D

    morning Elite! :)

I'm still full of cold but it'a a lovely sunny day here in London and I AM GOING TO TESCO! :p btw Andrex on the go is really handy if you need to blow your nose every 2 mins ;)

the only thing is I'd love to stay in my PJs, dressing gown and make up free :p do you think I can go like that? :rotfl: No, didn't think so... ;)

off to get ready, cut out some vouchers and 'borrow' bf's car while he's still sleeping

You re guy doesn't seem to know when he is well off.

Seems like you love him so you do really need to come up with a plan. i wouldn't pay mobile phone bills because if he doesn't feel the pain how is he going to learn.

If he doesn't want to live in london where does he want to live? Essex, hertfordshire. Will that work when considering commutting.

Do your best to sought things out but stick to your guns. Maybe your guy is insecure. Maybe you can go out to free stuff together- free cinema tickets etc. Seems like your man thinks money is everything right now. Show him its not as important as he thinks.

You re a really clever gogetting, resourceful, sucesssful woman and instead of manning up, he wants you to be his mummy right now.

You love him so bring out the best in him, be cruel to be kind.

Always letting my OH know quitting work (cos he hates) it is not an option. whoever has time off does the cooking. When i'm on mse i'm not complaining about the football.

My OH has been out of work twice and times have been really tough. Had plenty of rows over money but not for a long time. OH working for last 2 years but he only earns minimum wage. Still he does his bit and doesn't complain about mse or cheap stuff. Only thing he complains about is lack of space. But that is true cos we live in one room until we buy our own place.

His face was a picture when i gave him his christmas presents. Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave, doubled up before christmas and have tesco credit card, two matalan clearance jumpers, 1 pound bogof and fcuk products from boots glitch.:rotfl:

Was a happy chappy, when i gave him the old speckled hen DTD stuff too.

I really felt for you cos i have been there, it's not often i cry but OH can do it to me.

Just don't quit MSE etc and don't change for him, it doesn't work.

thanks again rosie :) we normally seem to make everything work quite well :o it's just moments like that when he puts all the little things together(no matter if already discussed or not) and that results in a huge row
told him many times to talk about things when they start being a problem and not just wait and see if it disappears itself...
so then he gets everything off his chest at once, doesn't think about the words he chooses and an hour later comes to say sorry

I'm not going to change for him :p But I will try to improve the things I know I can and should(maybe don't spend ALL evening on here, just half of it ;))

The money is a separate issue BUT here is hope for things to change soon :j Bf has last stage interview tomorrow and if it goes well he(we) will be better off. Also the London issue might go away then as the job is in London(he's currently commuting to Buckinghamshire where we lived before) and he really really wants it and looks forward to it :)

Anyway I'm NOT QUITTING Mse  And he knows very well it is a big help for us...

At the end of the day yes I love him and I want it to work and I'm sure it will because I know it's how he feels too :)

taken out of the freezer for a photo- not made with great care, but with lots of yum!

Excellent for any whoopsied fruit ;)

Edit: forgot to say- highly recommend using a 1p mug/cup to cut the circles from the pastry! :rotfl::rotfl:

Nice buffet size! I do mini quiches too in a muffin tray. The easiest thing in the world. They are a great contribution when invited to a party. (Especially when you use smoked salmon trimmings in em!). I am GONNA have to make em again now. I'm actually salivating at the recollection.

I use a mug too for cutting pastry discs. I used to have those metal cutters but they get misshaped in the cutlery draw. Less than useless!

Czerchy, glad you are working things through. You seem to get along great by other posts. Hope today is a much nicer day for you both and that you get dome great bargains today for your retail therapy.

Lady L, I like your dinner plan. Toni is one lucky lady!!!!
I hardly ever use a butcher. It is one of the things I keep meaning to do but never seem to find the time (apart from the Asian butcher recently but I won't go there again!). I get a ham hock occasionally from the one in town but my freezer is so full of whoopsies I never seem to need to go.

I've never had a joint of beef without a later of added fat on it. It sounds divine. Picture please to make us all jealous!!! (and to kick us into supporting our local butchers more! Might be a good goal for 2012?)
