I've been having terrible wind tonight too!
Me and the dog are having a farting contest. So far I'm winning on volume and toxicity. I'm also 3 ahead of her.

I'd have to see if mammy will record it as I don't have a TV.
See how good yours and anyone elses gaydars are. I can't remember the last series that well but I do know it wasn't as easy as picking Alan Carr wannabes.
Right that's me folks. Watched Desperate Housewives, polished off a small bevvy and failed at finding cheap cases for the dvd players. Probably a task best done wide awake.0 -

Hellooo new thread, thanks Redfox!
Really surprised to hear about bad pork experiences as we had ours for tea tonight and it was delicious! You should def take it back as there was no fishy smell with ours at all. We invited both sets of parents round and had free DTD pork with perfect crackling, whoopsied parsnips and free carrots and roast potatoes from a friend who grows their own....had to buy full price apple sauce though £1.20:eek:
For dessert it was Mr S whoopsied raspberry souffles mmmm mmmm mmm
On the subject of Grobags there are some other cheap ones (compared to RRP) they are cream with a bit of a stripe and have a small bear on the front. The 1tog are £5.50 and the 2.5tog are £5.75 if I remember rightly0 -

I went to bed an hour ago but i am now back downstairs on the sofa.
OH is snoring so loud he is sounding like a fog horn, i can hear him from down here
So its a night on the sofa for me.
I might try my own sofa out soon, I just cannot sleep tonight, I don't know why, I no longer feel windy enough for that to be the reason, I'm just so restless, perhaps lying on the sofa watching telly will drift me off to sleepland.....rufydoofyM wrote: »Good Evening night shift
So whats tonights topic apart from wind :rotfl:Since I don't have a problem there at the moment, however the pickled onions, shallotts and beetroot I had earlier could change that at any time

Scrums
I've never seen a reduction time scrum so bad as on NYE. I didnt go xmas eve as had plenty stocked up. Poor SA was being harassed by 'people' desperate for a massive discount. They were the folk that picked up the reduced stuff and kept it in their trolleys and try get the SA to reduce it more later. In the end manager told the poor SA to reduce it in the back.
When the stuff came out they 'bargain hunters' swooped on the SA. By the time it took him the 10 metres to get to the reduced section. The basket would be empty. I've seen pushing & shoving but this was BAD. Wish i'd recorded it now. OH was laughing and so were other shoppers who never seen that type of behaviour before.
I've been getting "whoopies" for nearly 18 years now and i'm not even in my mid 30's. Worked in a supermarket as a student so quickly clocked onto the flaws of their IT systems (J Sainsbury).
Haven't been there for ages but back in the day when Mr S sold say a pack of cookies for £1.00 & had an offer for 2 for £1.50, the till would still take off 50p even if you bought the 2 packs of cookies at end of day reduced prices of 10p each. Checkout SA were always amazed how my mum got loads of stuff for under £1. One time mum miscalculated cos of staff discount and till was saying give mum money. Manager said take the stuff away but we cant give you any money.
With Mr S another saving was if certain reductions offered bonus nectar points. If the bonus points was more than the price of the item in pence, its cheaper than free.
I'm assuming you all know the flaws in Mr T's system. Ones i know are- BOGOF are still BOGOF on the reduced prices too. If cookies are BOGOF at £1. They are still BOGOF at 10p. You still need to pay 10p.
- Certain multibuys or 3 for £5 on reduced stuff still take whole offer off so can get for cheaper or free or paid to take away.
- The lovely people who put in the wrong prices into their system.
Not all staff are the same. In the same store i've bought 1p items, SA say "nice bargain, is there anymore? where can i find it?" but others say "oh dont know if allowed to sell, let me ask manager as i can get in trouble if i sell it". Been trouted but even then they have been nice and civil with a smile. I learned which ones to avoid when i have certain bargains.
I know i didnt give a rats a$r3 what anything scanned at when i worked on a till as i hated the job but it paid my way through uni.
Maybe i learned not to make a fuss because there is a T right outside my work and i finish work at whoopie time. Plus every time i have been overcharged they tell me the DTD policy & give me DTD. Only got DTD back about 4 times (3 innocents, 1 emm accidental) & nothing anything big, 8p, £1, free grapes(as SA could figure out DTD) & the emm 4 for £3 glasses.0
