.....I do think that the people who are trying to get away with paying as little as possible for their purchases are making it more difficult for themselves and just highlighting this to Boots staff and the Managers. The SA's aren't stupid - if I was on the till and someone came with a basketfull of stuff and it came to a ridiculous amount then that's obviously going to attract a huge amount of attention.
Another poster either on here or the Boots thread (sorry can't remember who it was now!) also suggested that you put the vitamins at the bottom of the basket and then cover them with a Boots magazine and then put your other shopping items on the top so that the SA scans those first - I think that's an excellent idea and I will try that next time!
On a similar vein I've done the Tesco 1p items through a manned till using whoopsies. As everything is going through very cheaply it "conditions" the SA into seeing and accepting low prices. Done this a few times now and so far has worked.Awaiting a new sig0 -

Evening all
Just been catching up, ain't been on since last night.
Today I have come to the conclusion that we have a celebrity in our midst, JumbleJack step forward and reveal your true identity of......Nigella! I was originally going to say Mary Berry, what with all the fab cakes, but thought you might not be best pleased with that, so went for Nigella instead!!:D Your cakes look amazing :T:T:T
Going to T's once DD is in bed. Made a rough meal plan for the week, gonna see how it goes then maybe try and do it every week. Going to use up the stuff in the freezer this week, as we're low on funds and now that I've sorted it out, there's actually quite a bit in there, enough for 5-6 meals anyways ...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

CookieRaider wrote: »Caz from what i just read you need a large one, that guy sounds like a right P**** but it is you that has to deal with it all, take it all the way and keep your money under the bed so Mr C does not know about it as for ur oh gee him a swift boot in the balls next time you see him ( that will water his eyes) And tell him you need more help. Sorry to go of the subject but for all fathers out there that are reading this get a f******** grip that have you have kids and remember they are your responsibility as well as the person that you shagged
There are a lot of these wasters out there my cousin's ex sounds a bit like caz's ex but in a different way. He would rather spend money on his new GF's kids and not on his own, he hasn't sent a penny for the kids in years because he's on benefits so only gets £5 taken off that for 4 kids.
He doesn't have much time for them and when speaking to the 2 little ones (8 and 7 yrs old) he doesn't know who each one is and has to ask:eek: Phoned my cousin on Xmas day to say he'd be down, turned up in taxi and asked did she have money to pay for it, she said no so he told the kids they wouldn't be getting the £20 he'd brought for them cause he'd to pay the taxi:eek: While there he TOLD my cousin that since she had the kids this Xmas he'd have them at New year and then Xmas this year, the kids told him where to go:rotfl:
But sorry I also have to stick up for some of the good ones out there. I have a bro in law and my cousins' new partner who are on their second family. Both have exes who use the kids at every opportunity to blackmail them. Neither were allowed to take their kids to meet their partners eventhough they'd been together for over a year and wanted the kids to get to know them.
My bro in laws ex told the kids that when their dad got married neither he nor my sister in law would want them because they'd have kids of their own and love them more. She also breaks any toys that they buy the boys and tells them they don't need them. The boys are 8 and 6.
My cousins fiance wasn't allowed his kids anywhere near her, they'd just got engaged and the ex wasn't happy because she thought that the amount of money he would give her would go down. He pay's the joint mortgage and also £400 a month for 3 kids. She treatened to go to CSA to try to get more until her solicitor told her she'd get less because they'd take the mortgage payment into account.
She's told the kids that he spends more money on my cousins kids than them and that he doesn't give her any money for them:eek: He has shown the eldest (12yrs) his bank statements showing when he's sent their mum money and also the mortgage payments, she checks this every month so when her mum complains about him giving no money she turns round and gives the date it was sent on :rotfl: She's already said that when she's old enough she's moving in with her dad because her mum leaves everything for her to do.
Both blokes have had their kids kept from them and are still in a custody battle with their exes neither are allowed their kids to stay overnite regularly because their mum's are paranoid that the kids will want to stay but if it suits her they'll ring and offer to let them stay, I know on several occasions the blokes have refused because it's only so the mums can go out but later found out the kids are in his parents house. Cousin's partner went and picked his kids up to then stay with him because his Dad was just finished chemo and very ill, only to have the cops appear at the door to collect the kids because his ex accused him of kidnapping them but he was able to prove he'd left a message on her mobile to let her know why he'd picked them up.
Sorry for rambling but just think it's fair to show the difference between the bad and the good exes out thereand not just painting all absent Dads in the same way.
Believe me we have to deal with both types at our afterschool club and sometimes are caught in the middle and feel so sorry for the kids and the parent/s who just wants what's best for them.
We have one Dad who's only time with his son is while he's with us because his ex's new bloke won't have him anywhere near the boy but we managed to get the mum to allow him this time as the boy was missing him so much.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Caz I don't think for a moment that anyone would want to make fun of you. They would have to be a very unfeeling and cold person to find anything humorous about your situation. It must be incredibly difficult, managing your feelings and trying to remain upbeat for your 2 little boys.
While everything else is whizzing around that you have little or no control of, try and keep focussed on what's important; you and your 2 little angels :A:A
I hope that your ex will get his just desserts and you will continue to gain the strength you need to get you through and build a new life for you and your sons. xxx:)
I agree fude cake, caz just keep doing what youre doing, you and your boys are all that matters xxxSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

That's why I thought it would be useful for those who are fighting a case with HO. It is a shareholders responsibility (i.e. to protect their interests) to make sure that what is promised is delivered.:)Awaiting a new sig0
