Does anyone else think a lot of people shop with their eyes closed or are they just lazy today I was buying T's value garlic bread which is 34p for one or 74p for 2, I saw 3 people take the 2 pack?!?! Same a while back the 12 pack weetabix x 2 was much cheaper than the 24 box but loads continued to pick up the 24 pack

I'm actually having something tonight that isn't whoopsied!
I'm not feeling great so can't be bothered "cooking" so it's all just bung in and heat up!!
The non-whoopsie item is frozen garlic mushrooms, but we're having them with whoopsied dips from sainsbob's last night, whoopsied garlic bread. Then whoopsied carbonara's 19p each from T's which I'd frozen.
Tomorrow it's whoopsied gammon joint and whoopsied mixed veg, Whoopsied finest cheesey mash and anything else whoopsied I've got in the freezer!
My son reckons everything we eat has a yellow sticker on it :rotfl:
That's sounds like pretty good going to me:T:T:TIf I can get away with it I peel the reduced sticker off before I freeze it, think that might make me a "whoopsie snob":eek::eek:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:FANTASTIC Nikki! I'm the opposite though :D When I'm in the supermarket (often with a trolley of whoopsies) I try and hide the labels; 1. To stop people pinching them from my trolley!! and 2. Incase I see anyone I know and they realise how much of a whoopsie addict I am! :p I leave the yellow labels on when I freeze them so everytime I go to the freezer I can admire my stash and know I got it for next to nothing :T:D:rotfl:

used to have a similar problem. But my OH knows he's no good with money so gives me bills and savings at beginning of month. Then the rest is his. Also no point in getting him stuff and then feeling taken for granted. If i lend my OH money he must pay back when he gets paid. We've managed 7 years marriage and had tough times. My OH has a good botty in the playboy pants too:rotfl: try to sought things out. The more you nag the less they hear;)

thanks rosie :) we used to do it as well... he was paying me the money for rent&food(well, his smaller share) beforehand but in the last two months I was too good for him and paid it all myself telling him that he should keep it for the bills and council tax we need to pay this month for the last 3 months since we moved in. We got the bill for council tax today and I learned he doesn't have enough money even for that! ehm, what about the other bills?! He always gets cross when we have the money arguments because I earn more(but I also contribute more and I never highlight the fact because of all the man pride b...s...t) but somehow(mr T:p) I also manage to spend less on rubbish I/we don't NEED and my mobile phone bill is 3 times less then his(actually I need to look into that then...)... anyway I don't care, gave him the 150GBP he was short of as I always do because I know he will use his credit card and I HATE debts :o I'm fully aware it's not right to do so too :o

well it got even better as there was part 2 of our argument so I also learned that he HATES living in London(ok, it was my idea but he accepted the reasons and agreed) and wants to go out more(right, why don't YOU plan something Mr?!)

he also has a problem with me spending too much time HERE :o he claims I don't have as much time for him anymore(he might have a point:o) so I decided I will try and improve on that one :(

he also dragged out a few other problems he has which we already argued about but he always does it: waits until everything piles up and goes off big time

Anyway he's 'on call' this week and got a job so he's out now :j
    :rotfl:

but before going he tried to calm it all down like he always does as he can't be angry for long but I told him we'll talk tomorrow

Soo soo sorry for the rant but had to get it off my chest :o:o:o

Is it just me ..or does anyone else think Boots has got really expensive?
I don't use them very often as there isn't one in Totnes. But I used to go to the big one in Exeter or Plymouth and found they were pretty competitive on a lot of the essentials.
When I went in today for the vitamin glitch, I really struggled for other stuff to buy. I walked around thinking "I'm not paying that!!" for nearly everything!
Even their own brand stuff was a lot more expensive than any of the supermarkets.

You're soo right there! The only things I wanted from there are cotton gloves(my hands are really bad because of all the nappy changing and washing up-no dishwashers:() and Vichy normaderm which mr T doesn't sell  all other stuff I can get cheaper/free from mr T or other glitches :T I'm not even tempted by 75% off sale!

No T's today, been doing other things but will be going in the morning. Just got some of tomorrows dinner out to defrost which is whoopsied turkey joint thing, whoopsied beef, whoopsied carrot & swede, whoopsied sausages for my stuffing, stuffing will be made from my glitched 10p a packet mix, 10p a packet glitched oxos, and also got my whoopsied 20p bacon out for bacon sandwiches for breakfast. Later on tonight going to sit down with some T's finest glitched chocolate pudding with custard. I don't actually think I actually ever have a meal that's not got a gitch or whoopsie somewhere in it ;):rotfl::rotfl:

    how's diet Nikki?

if you manage to loose weight eating all that^^^^ I'm going to join you&HC!!!:D I badly need a good one to get into shape before spring/summer :o I was thinking SW but I HATE classes and meetings :o I like doing my own thing and was VERY sucessful in the past(I managed to loose almost 40kg a 2 years ago, sadly 10 came back recently and I'm desperate to loose them again...) so I'm giving it a go again

We still have a Portmeirion coffee set given to my OH as an 18th birthday present (way back when) by Welsh family friends. It's the black one with the gold greek key motif. You realise you are getting old when an everyday, but stylish, piece of sixties stuff starts appearing on the Bargain Hunt and Flog It:(

There are a lot of these wasters out there my cousin's ex sounds a bit like caz's ex but in a different way. He would rather spend money on his new GF's kids and not on his own, he hasn't sent a penny for the kids in years because he's on benefits so only gets £5 taken off that for 4 kids.
He doesn't have much time for them and when speaking to the 2 little ones (8 and 7 yrs old) he doesn't know who each one is and has to ask:eek: Phoned my cousin on Xmas day to say he'd be down, turned up in taxi and asked did she have money to pay for it, she said no so he told the kids they wouldn't be getting the £20 he'd brought for them cause he'd to pay the taxi:eek: While there he TOLD my cousin that since she had the kids this Xmas he'd have them at New year and then Xmas this year, the kids told him where to go:rotfl:

But sorry I also have to stick up for some of the good ones out there. I have a bro in law and my cousins' new partner who are on their second family. Both have exes who use the kids at every opportunity to blackmail them. Neither were allowed to take their kids to meet their partners eventhough they'd been together for over a year and wanted the kids to get to know them.
My bro in laws ex told the kids that when their dad got married neither he nor my sister in law would want them because they'd have kids of their own and love them more. She also breaks any toys that they buy the boys and tells them they don't need them. The boys are 8 and 6.
My cousins fiance wasn't allowed his kids anywhere near her, they'd just got engaged and the ex wasn't happy because she thought that the amount of money he would give her would go down. He pay's the joint mortgage and also £400 a month for 3 kids. She treatened to go to CSA to try to get more until her solicitor told her she'd get less because they'd take the mortgage payment into account.
She's told the kids that he spends more money on my cousins kids than them and that he doesn't give her any money for them:eek: He has shown the eldest (12yrs) his bank statements showing when he's sent their mum money and also the mortgage payments, she checks this every month so when her mum complains about him giving no money she turns round and gives the date it was sent on :rotfl: She's already said that when she's old enough she's moving in with her dad because her mum leaves everything for her to do.
Both blokes have had their kids kept from them and are still in a custody battle with their exes neither are allowed their kids to stay overnite regularly because their mum's are paranoid that the kids will want to stay but if it suits her they'll ring and offer to let them stay, I know on several occasions the blokes have refused because it's only so the mums can go out but later found out the kids are in his parents house. Cousin's partner went and picked his kids up to then stay with him because his Dad was just finished chemo and very ill, only to have the cops appear at the door to collect the kids because his ex accused him of kidnapping them but he was able to prove he'd left a message on her mobile to let her know why he'd picked them up.

Sorry for rambling but just think it's fair to show the difference between the bad and the good exes out there :) and not just painting all absent Dads in the same way.
Believe me we have to deal with both types at our afterschool club and sometimes are caught in the middle and feel so sorry for the kids and the parent/s who just wants what's best for them.
We have one Dad who's only time with his son is while he's with us because his ex's new bloke won't have him anywhere near the boy but we managed to get the mum to allow him this time as the boy was missing him so much.

There are some fab absent fathers out there. Ex is a great example. He is fab to his first ex and and their kid but it was left to me to look after our sons. In 2 years he barely bought a toy (as per my previous post) but he also never bought them any clothes but was happy for me to buy not only clothes for his sons but to dress his other child in appropriate clothing i.e. not full of holes or too small, yet he was happy to hand over double the CSA rate to his ex plus pay extras to her

His kid was sent round to us 2 weeks in a row with holes in their shoes in the middle of winter so I caved in and bought new shoes. A couple of weeks later we find out his ex has bought fancy Kickers (to be kept good) and my ex never even paid me for buying those shoes. And to cap it all, his ex had a fab social life, holidays, flash car, big house, new partner who is loaded yet we had nothing except a 2nd hand car covered in dings and a wing mirror hanging off and the only option for a holiday this past summer was to drive from Scotland to Essex as we couldn't afford to fly 5 of us over and hire a car (too many passengers for his dad to pick us up). Funny how when we split he could afford to keep flying over so I guess his parents were happy to pay for him and his kid but not me & the boys. Don't get me started on them as they are as bad and complicit in this.

So back to Boots, I posted on the glitch thread before I saw the posts here by RootedNomad and Smartie. I can confirm that for every 5 shots you get one free. I have receipts with 3, 6, 12 and 18 on them and the multi-save makes perfect sense now having compared them. It's also worth nothing that if your store has 10 or 11 sitting, the 10th one would be free so don't just stick to the 9 for the 3 for 2 offer.

Here's my post so you can see it:
Ok the plot thickens on this one. I've been to two stores today but the reciepts are showing slightly different savings.

    Store 1:
    Under the section entitled *** MULTI-SAVE ***
    Revitalise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise .00
    Saving £1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise .00
    Saving £1.99

    *** 3 FOR 2 ***
    Revitalise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99

    Store 2:

    No MULTI-SAVE section!!!!

    *** 3 FOR 2 ***
    Revitalise 1.99
    Revitalise 1.99
    Revitalise .00
    Saving £1.99

Previous receipts show that when bought in 3s there is no multi-save, when bought in 6s there is 1 multi-save of £1.99. When buying 12 there were 2 multi-saves so an extra £3.98 off and when I bought 18 there were 3 multi-saves so extra £5.97. These are all on top of the 3 for 2 that the shots are on so this would explain the extra discount thought it makes no sense.

So there we have it, if you can buy in a multiple of 3 and 5 you'd be laughing all the way to ....... well probably the security office if you go for 30 or more! But if I'm right then if you get 10 you'll get all the usual 3 for 2s but the 10th shot will be free as well so useful to know.
