Think how much we could save and stash if we all lived together:eek:...all our skills combined (not sure of mine yet) we would have stashes "a la extreme couponing" in a matter of days:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And am I the only one here that doesn't actually want to use up my stashes? I would rather starve and admire them than actually eat into them! Kind of defeats the object I guess but everyone's got to have a hobby and at least mine is cheap!

PS I don't really starve but I do add WAY more than I use...:)

The only stash i have got left now is basmati rice, mincemeat, 1p trays and comfort.

The rice pile will eventually start going down, the mince meat is good until 2013 so thats this years mince pies sorted, the trays will stay in the kitchen until its time for them to be moved into the garden when seedling time comes around, and the comfort will eventually get used down, although it might take me a couple of years!

I just remembered the lucozade shots and DM too  the lucozade will eventually be mixed with vodka, just to see what its like, and the DM wont last long at all now that I have remembered its there

A special post from my "cyber son";)

"It's taken me hours to catch up and the bickering on the thread resulted in me asking my sis to post something on my behalf. Sorry it was just a brief post as I didn't want the moderators thinking that my sister was typing on my behalf and resulting in her being banned also.

I'd like to thank everyone for the tremendous amount of support shown towards me. I can't believe how much fuss (good and bad) has been created over 'little' old me.:oblank.gif

A few of you are aware that I have no wish to return as I don't want to be somewhere where I'm not welcome, even the people who don't want me here are lurkers who don't contribute to the thread.

Regarding my email to MSE, people are correct when they assume that I did it out of shock/as a knee jerk reaction. I also did it to make sure I wouldn't be allowed back. However, I'm pretty sure that discussing other members PM's on the open forum is a banning offence. It's nice to know that there is one rule for them and another for us. Also, I could have swore that I put more information in to the email than was put on here by the forum team. If not, then I would like to clarify that I have NOT had any warnings about my language from the forum team. The only contact I have from MSE was from MSE Andrea 2 or 3 months ago when I was posting the jokes. The first email I got from her was informing me that it "wasn't a chat thread and to cut back on the chat". I ignored this message and a couple of weeks later she contacted me again saying pretty much the same thing. I responded to tell her that the title of the thread contained the word 'chat' and that 8 out of 10 people wanted the jokes. I then went on to ask if she had a problem with me? I then web further to say that I would stop the jokes. Andrea never replied to me. One thing has just occurred to me whilst typing this and it could be the reason I meet received ANY of the many warnings I'm supposed to have had. I'm pretty sure that in the 'User CP' there is an option to turn off emails from MSE and Forum Management. I'm pretty sure I may have turn this off due to a bad experience I received on another forum from the mods etc. If the forum team are worth their salt they will investigate this further.

I have always said that if ANYONE had a problem with anything I have posted then to let me know, either on the thread or by PM. That way I could remove the offending material and offer a personal apology. Because of this I was quite disappointed that MMW felt she had to report my jokes rather than come to me about it. I would like to make it clear that I had, and still don't have any animosity towards MMW. As as I said on numerous occasions, everyone is different and was more likely to offend someone as opposed to please everyone. I have a great deal of respect for MMW and I feel people were rather unfair in attacking her. At the end of the day all MMW wanted was for the thread to return to normal so that it wasn't closed and that no one else got banned"

Behind again but thanks to nikki for posting your CS post, just goes to show what a thoughtful, balanced person he is underneath. His one misconception though - he is VERY welcome here. to nikki's CS

    Forgot to say "Morning all"
I'm yet to try the boots glitch, but am going to have a go this afternoon.
I need to know if I've got it right though!!

I buy 3 but preferably 6 of the any (cheapest) vitamins and 3 or 6 shots (what are these??)
I then get all of this for free and it takes money off the rest of my shopping?
I'm thinking same as OEP glitch....right?? But I need the shots for it to work??

Are people getting trouted on this as there are no SS tills in any of the boots here so will have to go through a till.

Can someone let me know if I've got it right and exactly what the shots are ASAP please as I'm off in a mo!!
    Ta!!

    Hi

I've managed to do this four times and have had to go through a manned till each time as there aren't any SS tills down here.
I tried to buy a few extra bits and bobs to disguise how much the shopping actually came to - I bought the Dettol handwash systems which are half price in Boots now and there is a £3 coupon on the coupon thread for these so that takes the cost down to £2 per item, then I kept being given the £5 No7 vouchers so bought the No7 face wipes at £7 less the voucher leaves £2 to pay. Also try to see if the AC machine will give you any vouchers and use those as well - it all adds to the confusion. And keep chatting to the SA so they are distracted whilst scanning the items.

I found that once the SA had scanned everything and then taken off the coupons etc and if the amount left to pay was around a few pounds then they were more accepting as they justified the huge price drop as being due to the coupons. I've not had any trouble doing it this way and it also doesn't attract much attention.

I do think that the people who are trying to get away with paying as little as possible for their purchases are making it more difficult for themselves and just highlighting this to Boots staff and the Managers. The SA's aren't stupid - if I was on the till and someone came with a basketfull of stuff and it came to a ridiculous amount then that's obviously going to attract a huge amount of attention.

Another poster either on here or the Boots thread (sorry can't remember who it was now!) also suggested that you put the vitamins at the bottom of the basket and then cover them with a Boots magazine and then put your other shopping items on the top so that the SA scans those first - I think that's an excellent idea and I will try that next time!

Those who can afford it and think it's worth it?

Sorry Artha - you are quite right. Think I am getting too cynical in my old age and have spent too long on this site - usually question why someone is giving me a freebie. Need to just enjoy it for what it is.
