I was thinking that, I had Pethidine when I broke my leg after the operation I loved it, I felt like I didn't care about anything but its more of a short term thing. All drugs can have side effects so important not to take them for longer than necessary.

I wonder why they didn't offer you co hydramol which I find pretty strong & can't take it, in fact I can't take any sort of painkillers as they upset my stomach, hence no sleep for 2 nights :(
    Qpr
I get Pethidine from time to time when this pain kicks in as they have told me there is nothing they can do for me regarding the cause of it ( 13 abdominal surgeries have caused adhesions that become inflamed) I do take dihydrocodeine which is a lot stronger than the co dydramol but have a new doc that doesn't like to give out anything so will just have to see how it goes xx
Hope your'e feeling better soon xxx

Glad to see the spirit of the thread is back, as Im sure our missing friend would want. So many people I wanted to reply to but brain fog wont let me remember so massive hugs to those in need, thanks to those for recipes and stash piccies (well jealous!!) and heres hoping for a massive glitch soon
    Thanks Sharon
Will keep a look out if they are going through over here and hope you get your mojo back soon sending you hugs xxx

I spend a lot of my time on here trying to decide who would be better to go and live with, Nikkilala or Jumblejack? Then LadyLeenie comes along and tells Toni what they are having for lunch and my indecision increases.

.... been working from the early hrs and have just sat on my @rse. Not been to Ts for a couple of days it's all he lurkers that live in scumhill that don't have the balls to post on here or just don't care. If you are in there like me you will know what i mean weans screaming and the parents sceaming louder it's a joke and it makes me feel sick to the stomach that some kids are dragged up instead of getting a decent chance in life, but i know what maryhill and the areas around it are like thats why i moved to Bearsden so that my kids have a chance in life and i have been here for 8 yrs now and it has worked my DD1&2 are both doing well at high school and DD3 is great in the local primary, my only worry is my 14 month old boy as he is a destructive little **** and is trying ma patience but as always i :)

Mystery was solved...Georgesmummy owned up :D
I know what you mean about 'those people', feel so sorry for the kids...this is the main reason we moved over from the South side. Would love to live in Bearsden/M.gavie for that reason, but as it'll be ages before we can save enough for a deposit (if ever) and there's no way we can afford the private lets there, it's just a dream atm.
