    duvet as well .

She's ironing soon ,I love that as i get reaquainted with all sorts of clothes I haven't seen in months , it's like going shopping but without the train journey .

The ironing is like that in this house. I plan to do battle with some later today. Love your comment of it's like going shopping without the train journey. The problem we have is when it's all done I struggle to fir the clothes in the wardrobes. DD2 hates to throw anything away, I had a big ironing session sometime last year and she had about 30 tops ( that included little strappy vest tops and some we'd picked up from New Look for £1) I'm still amazed that someone could have so many tops and sometimes the wardwobe is quite bare. Better organise myself to get a pile and get started.

ps bed looks fab purdita - maybe I'll have a bit of bedroom cleaning between the ironing - What fun!

Let's hope I don't get trouted!! I seem to remember something about some shaving gel which gives loads of advantage points making it nearly free. If that's still going I'll buy a load of them to bump up the bill!!

Def use your advantage card as you get the points for the free vitamins too.. ... can they give us anymore I wonder??

There's a HUGE jump between Paracetamol and Pethidine, no wonder you're feeling blue :(

I was thinking that, I had Pethidine when I broke my leg after the operation I loved it, I felt like I didn't care about anything but its more of a short term thing. All drugs can have side effects so important not to take them for longer than necessary.

I wonder why they didn't offer you co hydramol which I find pretty strong & can't take it, in fact I can't take any sort of painkillers as they upset my stomach, hence no sleep for 2 nights :(

Boots glitch still going strong this morning - just stocked up on some free toilet roll and tissues when I dropped my DD off for work.

I am taking one of the shots each day (who would actually pay £1.99 for these, £14 a week for a pick-me up?). So far nada - still knackered and unenergised but here's hoping. I think I get more of a boost from exploiting the glitch than I do from the product.

Those who can afford it and think it's worth it?I say the same about lots of things(including RedBull and a cup of coffee on the high street!). Value and worth are all "in the eye of the beholder". Think I may be becoming a miser and need to change. Just thought about it and realised that my epitaph could be "He lived life....cheaply". Off to spend some money now! A scrooge moment:rotfl::rotfl:

Just seen your reason for edit...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: love it thanks!

I've done it 3 times all successfully but trouted 1 time, still went through though as HO told them they can't change the deal instore... and the offer definitely is 3 shots/3 vits and not 1 shot per 3 vits and several SA's have tried to say...:T

Ummm - 4 times - is that bad? And not trouted so far - all SAs have been lovely and they keep restocking the shelves so can't be too concerned.

Also works with these sweets - in my store there are Lemon and Orange flavour ones as well as these, small rectangular cellophane wrapped boxes on the shelf with the herbs

Is there any chance of having the recipe - these welsh cakes of yours sound absolutely lush!!! will love you for ever :A:A:A

    8oz plain flour
    3oz sugar
4oz "fat" I use half salted butter and half lard - can use all butter if preferred
    ½ tsp baking powder
    pinch nutmeg
    2oz currants
    1 egg
    splash of milk if needed

Rub the fat and flour together as if making pastry so you get the breadcrumb stage
Chuck rest of dry ingredients in
add the egg to form a soft dough (use milk if too dry)
Roll out on a floured board
cut into circles (I use a drinking glass)
pop onto a heated bakestone for 2-3 mins per side
Use a non stick frying pan instead of a bakestone
Place on a wire rack to cool and sprinkle with sugar

I might have to have a go at them, this thread has me inspired to cook again still waiting for the whoopsied cream so I can have a bash at the butter :)

May upload a picture. Recipe is completely my own. Goes down a treat!!!!

Will have to make a note of what I do in case anyone is taking notes.

would love to see photo and recipe if possible. Always looking to find ways of using up Baileys and planning a charity cake sale soon. Think it will go downa treat!

    Top tip.

To go with my cake I have made a Haagen das type icecream.
Buy the value 2 litre vanilla icecream from Ts around 90p. When you get home add a very generous glug of Irish cream and half a jar of honey. Whisk together and put back in tub to refreeze. Absolutely delicious!!!!

    Stage 1:

    photo-15.jpg?t=1326542289

8oz of EVERYTHING (sugar, butter & SR flour) and 4 eggs.
Cream butter n sugar together, add eggs. Stir in flour and a couple of dessertspoons of cheap coffee (no one can tell in a cake). I use cheapo granules for baking but grind them first to help them mix in the cake.

The picture show the cheap ingredients. Cheap honey and Irish cream for the icecream and the rest of the stuff (including the cheapest butter in the world: home made!) for the cake.

    Stage 2 will follow....
