By the way, last time I go to the Indian shop that oh recommended.

Rubbish butcher. I asked for a fivers worth of chicken off the bone. He bagged it up for me from a large bag already cut. OH has just come in to do the korma so it's tastier tomorrow and said "Have you seen this chicken? We're you watching him cut it from the chicken?". I didn't as it was already done. I am now told that the chicken is useless, all gristle and fat. Basically the off cuts. No breast or anything worthwhile in there. I'm really annoyed. I drove through tea time traffic to get there too!!
I'd take it back but i daren't. At least supermarkets don't quibble with complaints.

Perhaps a little offensive to those with smaller boobs (me included!) or larger boobs. I know kadison would have been joking regarding the stripper comment, so please don't be offended.

I was joking, sorry if I caused offence Miss Laid, I was doing :rotfl: because I was joking and also because I expected you to come back with something about clip-stripping, the combination of items just tickled me :)

I'm gonna have to do something with it.

If I had a mincer, I'd mince the stuff.

I got all the stuff I needed too. I haven't got time for more shopping tomorrow. Was gonna make naans tomorrow. Now I won't. If I have to out again for chicken, I'll be even more behind. There'll be 2 of us now in our tiny kitchen. One doing curries and me baking.

I feel so inconvenienced, grrrr.

  • Evening all :) I went to M*ryhill today for some basics and noticed on my trips down the aisles some Tony Bennett cd's - about 10 on a strip. Left them, as not really my cup of tea, but about 30mins later I thought I'd get one for the FIL....and guess what? All gone!!! So c'mon fess up, was it you Cookieraider? :p;)

well a very frustrating day for me thanks to t's Grrrrr

Thanks to mymerrywidow for your help as you were in the same position as me last week.

i was over charged a while back and instead of refuning my dtd back to me in 1 transaction the SA gave me 2 transactions for the difference! so ive checked my bank and ive only received the one payment!!
ive now spoken to HO 4 times the store 3 times my bank and visa and made the 40 mile round trip back to the store with my bank statement and receipts and i still havent got my money!!! GRRRRrr

They have given excuses like ive had my money so not getting anymore, it was christmas so all the banks are slow!! even thought this was last week and im sure im not going mad and we are in the new year! and finally they paid me my money and i have got to wait 28 days for it to go back into my acccount!!!!

ive got to wait for it to be investigated now apparently even though myself, my bank and HO have all traced the payments and i have definatly only had 1. :(

sorry to quote myself but thought if anyone was interested then you might like an update.........
yesterday was told it was being investigated and would be called back so no call yesterday, she finally called me back today at 5.40pm to tell me she had investigated it and as far as the store is concerned they have paid the money to me but between the store and tescos bank it was decided it was a mistakeb as both transactions were made in the same minute and same amount so someone cancelled the second transaction!!!! so i have now got to go on a 40mile round trip back to the store again!! to finally have my payment re issued!

so i'm glad it is getting sorted but this has really got on my nerves. Ive spoke to HO 4 times, the store 5 times, my bank, visa and made the 40 mile round trip to the store and now ive got to go back to the store again!!

So anyone out there who gets dtd paid to them in 2 transactions for the difference always check that you have received the money!! I'm totally rubbish at checking my bank statements never checked before it was only after hearing mymerrywidow and her problem with the same thing and my hubby telling me to check mine that i realised! Makes you wonder how many other people have been ripped off by t's in this way????

didn't find the jml toastabags (what aisle are they in?):(
didn't find any clipstrip bargains in the cleaning isle:(
    didn't find any mugs:(
No whoopsies-might have gone a little too late as all the fruit and veg crates seemed bare.:(

    But did find 2 x metoyou keyrings fro 20p each!:D RRP £4.50:eek:
and just as i was in the last aisle and seemed really sad about not finding much, I saw 3 whole clipstrips of veg crisps!:j really happy as i actually like these:D

Went through SS doing 10 each, I must have had at least 4 SA's near me chatting away! When I finished, SS SA saw them overspilling in the bags and said are they 1p? I picked them up and said "yeah, think they're discontinued" and sped off. Think she was smiling though!;)
