I have managed to convince my 15 year old dd that vintage, retro, recycled clothes are the best option.
Who wants to follow the crowd with the latest over-priced rubbish when you can dress like an individual?
When they have a mufti day at school the other girls all look the same as each other but my dd stands out in a crowd and all the others admire the way she dresses.
We have a lot of fun scouring the local charity shops and places like Camden Market for hidden gems which is an added bonus.
I think this is worth a try if you have a daughter but not so likely to work if you have a son.If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -
