QPR10 - If you are heading for Kissimmee then Orlando is the closest airport and BA fly direct from Gatwick, the time varies depending on what month you are looking to fly, but it's usually a morning departure and arrive there in the afternoon (with the time difference)- at the moment it's 1140 dep 1630 arrival.
There is a company ive used that have resonably priced villas in usa in lots of locations.... not sure if I am allowed to post the link or not?
If you don't want the theme parks have you also thought about flying direct in Tampa and going to the gulf coast of Florida?

    Cattery
Passport & Driving Licence in order, new fangled visa thing in place
Book flights, insurance, car hire & villa (Cashback if poss)
    Travellers chqs & currency
    Order special meal for flight
Update on info re Disabled Parking Placard in Florida
    Shopping List
Watch several clips of extreme couponing on youtube :rotfl:

    ?
dont forget to pack tea bags and coffee. the coffee over is trully awful. and also, this may not apply to you, but smoking in a hire car is not allowed.
life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.

Next OT subject I got a couple of telescopes which eventually I could use towards funding our trip, Ebay is awash with them at present, do I put them on EBay & take what I can get, wait till most of the others are sold or keep them in the hope I will get a few more things for a Boot Sale later in the year, would I get a realistic price for something like that at a boot sale ?

I wouldn't bother with ebay - as you say there are so many anyway and postage is expensive so bids won't be high.

I think you would easily get £10 at a car boot sale.

You might get more but the packaging makes them look more like toys than 'proper' telescopes imho.

I've been to Florida a couple of times & book everything myself no problem (the rest of America even more times) but things are different this time, I had ages to book it & work things out, we took children, this time it will just be us, to go by the end of Feb possibly sooner) my brain & body aren't working too well at the moment & I need a bit of help.

I've had a dabble on kayak.co.uk all these sites have their own advantages & disadvantages.

I can play around with dates & prices etc, what I'm interested in is, a site which will show me who flies from LHR & gets there in the shortest time & arrives early afternoon, none of the flights will be direct I know that but not interested in a 4 hour layover or arriving in the dark, then I can work on dates & prices.

    Have you tried flightchecker?

We're not really into beaches etc, I would do a few water based exercising in the private villa pool though. Gatwick is drag to get to living so close to Heathrow it seems a waste but the idea of a direct flight appeals so I'll bear that in mind it might be worth it. I'm sure you can post the villa link or pm me, my box has been springcleaned :)

Thanks :beer:any other suggestions gratefully received

ah well , i took Tyson the Dyson for a walk around the living and upstairs ,the cats scarpered upon hearing his whinning howl , that gave me time to plump up the DW cushions and I'm now ready to prepare a quick and simple tea time meal of smoked mackrel & mushrooms on organic stonebaked bloomers , all purchased with those lovely little yellow stickers on them .
This should ensure that Snap Ant has enough time to go on a mission with Mister T - if need be .

Pudding ,what to do for pudding ...decisions decisions .
I was young once , now I get older all the time .

Thanks for the advice but I don't drink tea or coffee or smoke but that reminded me mother has to take her Cadburys Hot Chocolate & they don't sell soluble paracetamol eg Disprin over there
