Martins site really has let itself down with this I'm afraid. He is supposed to be a person who champions the causes of those who often can't fight for themselves for whatever reason yet on this occasion HC has been treated with no consideration at all.

This whole business leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth I'm afraid.

I'm massively disappointed by this post for numerous reasons and it's quite a disheartening read after the efforts made and time taken to try and explain and interact. Sometimes it feels like we can't win either way.

However, I shall respect your right to your (and other users) opinion and on that note remove myself from commenting further.

I agree with that to a point, but where the argument fails is that many others of us circumvented the censor on numerous occasions and didn't get a single warning, not even an informal PM!

We are however led to believe that HC was given informal warnings, a yellow card, a red card and then a permanent ban as outlined in the FAQ's.

Sorry but I don't believe that for one minute!

I think I speak for the majority of us that he has a lot of friends here. I've lost count the amount of times that he has made me spit my coffee out reading his posts. I feel it's awful that he was judged in a virtual world by ignorance just as he is in the real world.

I had no idea what aspergers was till HC came on this forum, I'm still a bit bemused by it all now to be honest but at least I have some idea of the difficulties he must have through no fault of his own in forming long standing friendships etc and the way some people make little or no allowance for his condition.

He can count me as a friend too!

So there you have it. Unfortunate but that's what we've been sent. I'm not sure what to say really, but I feels this (regrettably) justifies the action we were forced to take in the first place.

My OH is very much a 'cutting off his nose to spite himself' sort of person and would have done something very similar to this in the same circumstances (and probably would have regretted it later but would never admit it to anyone). I don't talk much on here and never read much of the nighttime discussions but I don't believe anyone with so much support from so many people can be as bad is being said. Perhaps some mediation between HC and the Forum Managers is needed to help resolve the situation - and ultimately get HC back with his friends.
