  • First time today that I managed to be in T as the same time as the whoopsie reduction, not as good as some of the reductions that OP's have had but I did manage to get £65 worth of shopping for £16 :) And the rugby scrum wasn't even that bad either!

Crikey what a rip-off! I normall.........interrupted there by a nice crash as a trolly just clattered my car.....wen't to look and a lady said it was let go from high up the carpark and hit about 3 cars on the way down. Grrrrrr

Anyway, rip off tesco! Their own brand biere speciale is normally 2.44 a case...then of course at xmas they put it up to 2.69 a case. Low and behold tonight its 2.99 a case!! The only reason I let it go tonight was I'd got 12 packs of the huggies pure wipes on b1g2f and had 12 £1 off vouchers so the beer only actually cost 1.35.

Sorry about the car but ......... what £1 vouchers? Debated stocking up during the last Mothercare glitch but they weren't working out cheap enough (need them to be less than 1p each to be a bargain!)

I had something the other year when I had had a cold which dragged on and on. I was really tired, feeling crap and breathlessness getting worse and feeling light headed/dizzy. Ignored it but then one day it just went noticeably worse, cough got worse and went to docs on emergency app. He took my blood pressure which was really low, listened to my chest and said he was sure I had developed a lower respiratory chest infection - got a prescription for a brown inhaler, blue inhaler, one of the vent things to use inhalers with and steroids. Was told if it went any worse in the night to call an ambulance! Anyway, it was a few days before I felt any better, then needed antibiotics to clear chest infection. It took me about 3 weeks to get over it, but now if I get a bad cold I still need to use the blue inhaler.

Best to get yourself checked out as it may be a chest infection which needs treating sooner, rather than leaving it like I did.

I could have written that almost word for word. Just over a year ago I took a nasty chest infection while preggers. I have asthma albeit seasonal and sports induced (no winter marathons then) and very rarely have to use my inhaler.

One night my cold was so bad that even trying to move in bed was making me breathless. I also had a nasty cough so I was literally lying in the spare room with throat soothers constantly in my mouth, a glass of water, boxes of hankies and my blue inhaler. I woke up the next morning, had a few drags of a crafty ciggie (yes I know, very very naughty) and ended up phoning the doc.

Went down by taxi as of course the ex had the only working car (mine) in work with him. Doc immediately put me on a nebuliser but because I was preggers I oculd only have a low dose of steroids. Was told if things didn't improve to go to A&E so needless to say I was back there a few hours later hooked up on another nebuliser.

I've never had so many chest infections or problems with breathlessness as I have had since I quit. I have an almost constant lump in my throat, the slightest hint of a cold and I'm on the stronger inhaler and if I get an infection it's back on steroids. I should probably see the doc about the lumpy throat but I'm not at deaths door so shall continue my regime of avoiding the doctors!

So major sympathies to grumpy1sdaughter and spirallingdown.

No major bargains today bar some Xmas stuff and baby food. Tomorrows dinner in the over. Whoopsied veg (2 x 30p), whoopsied potatoes (40p bag), whoopsied chicken (free due to multisave error), chicken casserole sachet (2 for £1). So that's £2 for somewhere between 4 and 6 dinners :T
