She had the same...a camera thingy she had to swallow...she said it was horrible!!
What type of operation depends on how big the hole is apparently.
Hers is fairly large so they are seeing if it repairs itself at all (although they've said it's not very likely) as if it's smaller they can do keyhole surgery.
I really feel for her as she looks so poorly some days......and she is the nicest tax inspector you could wish to meet :rotfl::rotfl:(and very handy to know cos OH is self employed!)
You shouldn't be eating MB cake either
Thats what I had and they sedated me and i woke up with the camera still there and burst all the blood vessels in my eyes and face from trying to retch the tube out:(:(:(
Right enough for me,

I've had a bad lot of hrs.
Ended up in A&E by ambulance last night, couldn't breathe and had chest pains then fainted. Have spent most of today sleeping as I got home in time to take DS to school so done that before resting and sleeping.
Aparently my heart's ok, but they couldn't find anything serious wrong. Just have severe reflux thank goodness but felt a bit guilty for wasting their time.
Being lifted and laid is doing my head in, I just want to get on with things but know it's best just to watch what I'm doing.
:grouphug::grouphug: hope you feel better soon0 -

Crikey what a rip-off! I normall.........interrupted there by a nice crash as a trolly just clattered my car.....wen't to look and a lady said it was let go from high up the carpark and hit about 3 cars on the way down. Grrrrrr
Anyway, rip off tesco! Their own brand biere speciale is normally 2.44 a case...then of course at xmas they put it up to 2.69 a case. Low and behold tonight its 2.99 a case!! The only reason I let it go tonight was I'd got 12 packs of the huggies pure wipes on b1g2f and had 12 £1 off vouchers so the beer only actually cost 1.35.0 -

I'm also extremely intrigued by your post and symptoms!
I've had a lousy cold I've been unable to shift for weeks on and off. But with heavy xmas drinkiing I've woken once or twice to a bit of 'nastiness' in my throat and then of course the horrid burning sensation trying to get back to sleep again.
Since then I've been suffering with a bit of a cough, some chest pain and discomfort and a quite distinct shortness of breath and a bit of slight lightheadedness specially when i bend down then get up again.
I suffer severe anxiety anyway so I guess the worry is not doing me any favours either!
Have a docs appointment of friday so will see what he has to say. I really don't like this breathlessness though one bit!
Oh I'm on the wagon too to see if the reflux issue eases and eases my symptoms. I'm just wondering if the reflux tends to irritate all the tubes and airways casing some irritation and breathlessness. I hope thats all it is!
Ooops, sorry for pinching your sympathy! ((hugs))
I had something the other year when I had had a cold which dragged on and on. I was really tired, feeling crap and breathlessness getting worse and feeling light headed/dizzy. Ignored it but then one day it just went noticeably worse, cough got worse and went to docs on emergency app. He took my blood pressure which was really low, listened to my chest and said he was sure I had developed a lower respiratory chest infection - got a prescription for a brown inhaler, blue inhaler, one of the vent things to use inhalers with and steroids. Was told if it went any worse in the night to call an ambulance! Anyway, it was a few days before I felt any better, then needed antibiotics to clear chest infection. It took me about 3 weeks to get over it, but now if I get a bad cold I still need to use the blue inhaler.
Best to get yourself checked out as it may be a chest infection which needs treating sooner, rather than leaving it like I did.0
