    Wooden spoon!

Cream sugar n butter, add egg, mix in flour. Dead easy. I was sooo lazy with this that the 'no2' cake went in the mw in the glass bowl it was mixed in if it was just for the family. Warm custard hides a multitude of sins :D
It was prepped and in bowls within 5 mins. Seriously.
You don't need to spend money on frozen puds. Quicker and cheaper to knock one up with a mw!

Ahhh, used to do something like this when i wa a kid, m sure we used to put a mass of jam in a buttered pyrex bowl, put the mix in gently so not to disturb the jam. Amazing sponge in a few mins. Jst got to be careful as jam gets real hot.
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

I went to Scunny once many years ago. We had driven up from the West Country and I couldn't believe the difference in Temperature when I got out of the car - It was like a different country!!
Apart from that I don't remember anything about it :rotfl::rotfl:

The SEL was £2.50 and I found four packs marked 2 for £3 amongst about 20 packs with nothing written on.
Grabbed the four packs and on checking my receipt I saw that a multibuy discount of £4 had come off :(
Mine must be the only T's in the country that's got it right :mad:

No, Sth St in P*rth has the 2 for £3 working too. I was a bit disappointed at getting no dtd, but no big deal. It's price change day tomorrow, I expect another glitch will be here soon ;).

I think there's been more than enough discussion of trumps on this thread recently!!:eek::eek:
    Hope is not a strategy.

    Perfect!
Really wish I had a microwave again for puds. My winning pud was choc fudge cake (made in the gas oven but the slices were warmed up for 20 seconds in the mw to melt the topping and warm the sponge. Heavenly with icecream!).

Still catching up.... very quick post to say that I've just got a message from a friend who works in Boots. She hasn't heard that the sale is going to 75% yet - she says it depends on how much stock is left and that it's probably a bit too soon :(

Towards the end of last season I was in Scunny, Donny & Barnsley within the space of about 10 days & had to come back home in between can't rate the Park Inn Rotherham highly enough. Sadly before I discovered the Tesco threads I was just comping then.

I've just posted this to a friend on FB about the boots sale (via PM), it's my re-cap of what happens when we don't know if a sale is on.....made her laugh so thought it might work on here :D

    "is it on?"
    "I don't know, I've heard whispers"
"Hotdeals say it's on, what about the Boots thread?"
    "Whose boots?!"
    "not those boots, shuddup!"
    "Oh sorry"
"A friend of a friend whose cousin's sister's uncle's neice's boyfriend works in Boots and says it's deffo on!"
"oh brilliant, right everyone, early to bed, need to be there for 8am"
"what are you all talking about?"
    "the boots sale"
    "what boots sale?"
    "75% off boots sale"
    "which boots?"
    "all boots"
    "no I mean which shop?"
    "BOOTS!"
"But boots don't sell boots do they?"

  • PMSL, just kicked it off big time in my local store!!!

Turned up just in time to see the remnanats of the first batch of fruit and veg all over the floor with the burkha lady and her family with arm fulls of stuff and everyone else with next to nothing and them all complaining. There was also a member of the public who couldn't get trhrough with his trolley He said it was embarrasing to watch and they behaved like animals.

I thought enough was enough so went to complain. Theres a lovely lady on CS who really is very helpful but also won't stand any nonsense and as luck would have it she was on tonight. I went and complained and she said she'd take a look. In the meantime I said to the other bargain hunters that it needed more than just me to complain otherwise I'd just sound like a whinger! 2 of them did just that.

A little while later the chap was about to reduce the meat (there wasn't much) and asked him when he'd be out with it so I could avoid the 'rugby scrum'. he laughed and said they 'd like a certain family stopped. I thought hmmmm, I've heard that somewhere before!!!

10 mins later and the manager I'd spoken too stood by the meat area as the reductions were wheeled out and everyone got what they wanted. She came over to me and said how orderly and peaceful it was. I commented that it was becasue ceretain people were not there. She then went on to add that since I'd complained she'd spoken to the members of the reduction team and was gobsmacked that they'd all told her exactly the same thing!

a short while later the last of the fruit n veg came out and she watched as that was dived into and scrumed over! She then told me how she had the right to refuse to serve anyone she so chose. As I left the store the whole family were stood at CS with the manager and things didn't look too happy!!!

Sooooo, a huge thank you to Tesco for listening and doing the right thing.

**FK who now has a bounty on their head, signing off..........**

Thanks for the thanks people. Wasn't sure if I'd get a bit of flack for poking my nose in! Its nice to have support from you guys. :)

Oh the other thing in there, I found a complete unopened box of snow globes....chucked it in my basket but ended up just taking one out the store as I gave all the others away to other bargain hunters! **FK thinks they is far too soft**
