someone (3dogs?) should keep a tally of how many times we hit the national papers in a year.life is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0 -
Hi all hope all is well, had a carp day, not feeling great, no eggs or anything good, no money or diesel....
Re the parking issues I have another slightly different story.
Last week during the storms my arthritis was really bad and my car was in the menders so I parked in the parent and child.
A lovely young lady pulled up and gave me a mouthful so I politely advised her that as my car and badge were in the menders I had parked here to not upset the disabled parkers.
This is a white lie as although I qualify I don't have a current badge and I hope you will forgive me!!!
I will wear my hair shirt for another week just to make sure.0 -
Evening all!
Took a trip to Mr T's, plentiful but pitiful whoopsies as usual, not bad in chilled but still only half price, lots in the raw meat section, some half price, some only reduced by 10p! Wish that store would get themselves sorted and do some real whoopsying for once!
Went to the deli as there was some reduced stuff, though only onion bhajis which I would hate (can't stand spicy food), got the last two scotch eggs and asked if anything else was being reduced, like the handmade sausage rolls, she said half price, so I had one of those, and then she shouted "oops! those scotch eggs, they're half price too!" so 50p instead of £1 on something I was going to buy anyway
Veg section normally good but dreadful today, some mad woman buying all the market value mushrooms even though they were only reduced from £1.18 to £1.09! Honestly, what's the point?!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

What I did get though were Cadbury Wishes. SEL stated 65p each or 4 for £1. I was hoping the discount wouldn't come off resulting in a nice DTD but the discount did come off.Still, 25p for a large lump of chocolate isn't bad.
And...
I bumped in to an ex member of T's staff on my way back up the road and I got a hug and a kiss on the cheek from him.:D
Long story but the rest of the staff made his life hell and picked on him for not being the full shilling. One I day I was turning down one of the aisles and heard the tale end of a nasty comment someone was making to him as they walked past him. Later I found him at the other side of the shop restocking the freezers and I walked up beside and reached for something in the freezer him and without looking at or even acknowledging him I said "make another like that again to my friend Craig and I'll be waiting outside in the dark for you one night when you least expect it". The guy left shortly afterwards but it didn't stop the others from picking on him.
It all got too much for him in the end and he had to leave. I've seen him and spoke to him a few times since he left but it was only tonight that I got the opportunity to tell him what I'd done and I hug and a kiss on the cheek for it.:o:o

You only get it in one ankle ? I've had some "experiences" with disabled bays I'll get too angry if I relate them, saw a car with some brilliant stickers on it about being disabled I have a photo somewhere I'll try & find it. OMG I can understand you were feeling down but that sort of behaviour gets my back up I would have had to have gone over & said something.
Although I must admit when I see one person alone parking in a parent & child I'm tempted to say "Excuse me, you've forgotten your child " :rotfl:
No I get it absolutely everywhere; fingers, toes, knees, wrists, shoulders, hips, everywhere and then all the muscles in between when I'm exhaustedStarted when I was 7.
Oh it seems like everytime I park in disabled some know it all comes over and says something rude. I know what you mean about not relaying the finer details to those experiences!
The car sounds funnyYeah maybe I'll try that saying next time. I thought about saying to those blokes 'Where's your parent?' :rotfl:
