So did it come mashed or cubed or what? That might give me an idea of what to suggest with it!It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

I too have a 5Kg tin. I did know it was that size. I just thought that if its a 1p then I might as well try it. IF its not any good I have only lost 1p. If its good then its a bonus.
I shall leave it for a day that I batch cook though!.
I think that I will mash it with potatoes for shepherds pie, and I will also try a creamy bake, with courgettes and onions, possibly tomatoes if I have them at the time.
If there is any left then the standby soup I suppose!.
I have also bought some Soymix for making Sausages? and casserole mixes for about 50p/ So I expect to have a freezer full of meals very soon. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Hubby loves making rosti (what on earth is the plural of that!) & is looking at the tins lovingly hehe
Didnt think about adding it to mash - I bet that will be really nice!
We had 'normal' Celeriac last weekend, roasted with the potatoes & it was delish (I usually just add it to soup) reminded me a little of swede or turnip - not that I have had those roasted - tell a lie I roasted a couple of turnips too last week - they were also scrummy but not as good as roasted celeriac :rotfl:I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
Rosti would be fabulous just make sure it's dry ( between teatowels with a pot on top.)It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window
