Told at the Clinique Counter in Boots in Cambridge that the Mascara exchange starts next weekend until the end of January. Take any old mascara and they will exchange it for a same size. Don't know if this will be all Clinique counters or just Boots. Also if you purchase any product you can book a free lip or eye makeover, bookable until end of Feb.

We went into the Southampton branch today (loads left) and were asked to fill in a form with name, tel no etc. We were then asked which mascara we would like and swapped the old mascaras for new. Only then were we asked when we could come in for an appointment. We booked for a date in February however explained we may not be able to make it and may need to cancel at a later date. Though to be fair it didn't sound too bad, and as with anything you can always refuse to purchase anything on the day.0

My daughter went to the store in Kingston and was given a new mascarra straight away,no app,had a choice of 20

Yesterday I went into a store in Plymouth, was given a choice of two mascaras. I had three old used ones on me so gave the other two to a couple of teenagers checking out testers... they were very happy, bless them0

Yes the Plymouth store gave me a choice of two so I chose the lengthening one, very pleased. There were a few people buying/asking about things, so she saw me waiting - old mascara in hand so saw to me straight away lol seeing it was a quick thing to see to me!0

I went into Glasgow yesterday and was told I needed to make an apt to- said yes, as need a new lipstick anyway but dont hold much hope of me genuinely being able to keep the appointment.
Was given the choice of the two mascaras and she never even looked at the mascara I gave.
Only prob is I do buy Clinique make up but I cant really schedule to make appointments to book in for a make up consultation as I have a job to go to , house to keep and all the other busy stuff that means Im constantly busy like most other people and thats without having kids to accomodate too.
So yeah I buy clinique items but in my own time , squeezed into my lunch break or another day when Im hetically rushing -I dont know many people who have the time to arrange make up consultations ! Think Clinique are being a bit old fashioned and aiming at the lady's who lunch brigade !0 -

Got mine today in Fareham. :j
Didn't have to make an appointment / give my details. Many thanks OP!0 -
Just got mine at the Clinique counter at Boots. I made a note of asking how fast this offer usually "sells out", and the lady said under a week, but luckily they have more stock now than last time. But id still be quick for anyone who hasnt got theirs yet! And to the people who were moaning about others who trade 5-6 mascaras....Im a newbie saver but i just find those people motivating. In this world you snooze you lose!0

Cat72, given that the larger stores now open 7 days per week, for hugely long hours (our city centre branches open a total of 68 and a half hours a week !!) I don't think there are many people who couldn't schedule a consultation if they wanted to!
I think the "Ladies who lunch" brigade is quite a small group these days (I guess I fit that bracket with a friend of mine maybe twice a year), and most of them will probably shop somewhere much nicer than boots.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0
