I had a voucher from the advantage machine for £2 of lipstick or mascara. I got a free mascara then swapped it for a clinique black high lengths mascara

How did you get a free mascara with the £2 voucher?0 -

Natural Collection mascaras are £1.99 I believe.0 -
My wife went along to the Norwich branch of Boots with her old Mascara ready to exchange as the offer promised, only to be told that she would have to make an appointment for a Clinique consultation later in the week and only then would she be issued with the free sample. This is just a selling scam to get you through the door and then spend more money. The offer should have stated this in the first place.0

We've double-checked with Clinique and you do not need to book an appointment to get the freebie.
Thanks,
MSE Penny
Thank you. Have Clinique put this in writing anywhere, in a form that can be printed out and shown to the staff at the counters?0 -

It's not a scam, they're hardly going to be giving out free mascara's hilly nilly are they? The purpose of the campaign isn't to throw out free mascaras.. they are a company after all, so obviously they want to introduce more customers to the brand. We should be grateful that they do this mascara exchange at all. You don't see many other big brands giving away freebies for minimal effort such as having a consultation!
Be grateful!0 -

I think the point is the terms and conditions should be clearly stated, and consistent. If different counters are giving out different information it does not look professional.0 -

The MSE team have spoken to Clinique and confirmed that you don't have to have an appointment to get the free trial mascara. I doubt you can argue that point at the actual counter though!0 -
Hi guys. I got to Boots at half 7 or something when it shut at 8 so there wasn't anyone at the counter as they'd obviously gone home. So I asked one of the Benefit girls to do the mascara swap (she didn't know much about the promotion) I noticed there was a clipboard with names/addresses etc. but I didn't have my details asked for.
