Iphone 4S not impressed, other options?

Got the iPhone 4S not impressed so far.

Been Nokia for years looking for an operating system with similar control i.e. can set bluetooth to invisible and hopefully not have to sign a 64 page contract when setting up the phone!

Would also like as close to the apps available on apple, only reason i gave apple a go really.

What are peoples views on the other smartphones out there?

Nokia lumia - changed the operating system from previous nokia's any good?

Samsung Galaxy II - Seen a few posts on it that have been good dont know much about them.

HTC - Dont know anything about them.

Blackberry (Torch 9860) - as above

Sony Erricson - as above

Am the same Iphone 4s does nothing for me, phones like Samsung galaxy 2 and Htc sensation are better imo. (Am sure a couple of apple fan boys will be along soon to tell me how wrong i am lol)

I have a htc sensation at moment think its a brilliant phone, you can get most of the apps on android market that you can get with apple, well the ones i use anyway.

Samsung galaxy 2 is also a brilliant phone. But think Htc has the best build quality out there at moment.

But if you can wait a few months the Samsung galaxy s3 and Htc Edge will be released, they are getting announced in Barcelona at the end of next month, if roumors are anything to go by, they will be worth the wait.

i have an htc desire hd had no problems with it it does the same if not more than an iphone-you dont have to use itunes just drag and drop your folders

you can alter the honmescreen put your pics on etc

my husband has a samsung galaxy s and loves it i find it looking a bit plasticky but each to their own

I've got a Galaxy S2 and think it is, generally, an excellent phone.
Reservations are
a. has a bit of a learning curve (and generally I'm ok with technology)
b. battery life is not great but this is my first smartphone and I came from an old Nokia where charging the battery was weekly not daily!)

I've also got a HTC Desire HD & its way better than the iPhone. Battery life is not the best but any smartphone will drain batteries fast. My wife has the HTC Incredible S which she loves & the battery seems to last longer than mine.

Samsung Galaxy S2 is the best phone out there right now, no question. Get it and save a packet on the overpriced, over-hyped Jesusphone.

I have everything Apple & it all works and the best thing is it's simple
But my 3GS does 99% of a 4s does so I'm waiting for the iPhone 5

There's no guarantee that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is going to be good though is there.

I have an iPhone 3GS. I was about to get an iPhone 4 when it launched as i'm very happy with my iPhone - the only things i don't like are the camera quality & the fact there's no flash. Other than this, i'm happy. So then the iPhone 4 had all those issues with the signal (& before you tell me you have no problem - i tested one & the signal DID drop).
The iPhone 4S is essentially the same.

I'd get a Galaxy S2, but as you say, the S3 is on its way.

So personally i'm waiting to see how the S3 & iPhone5 turn out after they've been out a while
