PS. Tilly - I did a soft credit check via this site (was gobsmacked by how good it was actually which seems nuts..but anyhow)...it didn't go that far back..6 years...which is why you may need to try the 'are you sure I didn't have PPI and can you send me the paperwork' lark

Oh yes love, quite sure. I'm a luddite and have only had a handful of financial products in my lifetime. I can even remember the gal doing my mortgage paperwork asking about unemployment insurance etc. She was good, as when I said no, she accepted it, and didn't go in for the hard sell. My mortgage was at 5.75% - 'cheap' by some of the 14/15% examples some people have had to deal with, but it took up a fair proportion of my take-home pay, and I couldn't 'justify' anything making it cost anymore :rotfl:

Hello peeps, hope everyone has had a good week or two. Just back from some very frugal camping trips, weather pretty uninspiring last week but this Bank Holiday in East Anglia was gorgeous. More of that in September please.
Kept to the budget but didn't feel like we stinted at all which is nice and had enough to treat extended family too which was nice to do.
A few days before I start back at work but still fairly full of family and kids stuff so not sure how much I will be able to do MSE wise but will try and do a bit and of course need to do a monthly update too. That helps me focus so no bad thing.
Hope everyone is doing well, hope to get round the diaries soon. XMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
