Hi Jonno. A TT is a TillyTidy named after the lovely Tilly who frequents the MFW boards. You basically round down your accounts on a daily / weekly basis to the nearest £1 / £5 / £10 and sweep the 'loose change' into a savings pot / mortgage overpayment. The sweep is called a TillyTidy. It'll get a listing in the Oxford Dictionary one day!
Hope that helps.
MMMFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -

Brizzled - re filling cars up - are you a member of Cost*o as their fuel is cheaper than the supermarkets. The diesel was 5p/litre cheaper!0

Hi, no not a member of C&stCo - too much of a journey to the nearest one. Or is it? Will look into it again - maybe share cost of membership with a mate?
Trying to use Mr L or Mr A once every month/6 weeks for groceries which should help the staples bill. Fruit and veg, milks etc generally local farm deliveries although did take advantage of the Abel&C vouchers this and last week. Great quality but we can do better with our local guys so no more from us. Took the offer and then left, so to speak.
Should be a quiet day today - purchasing sample pots to redecorate kitchen its about 10 years since it was done and it shows! Then pack up lunch and walk. No real spends for me hopefully then Tomorrow must finish my declutter challenge and list some more items on Bay of E. Keeping up the offensive on gaining income and clearing stuff we no longer need!!
Have a great weekend

Our local one opened its petrol station just a couple of months ago - I was there last weekend and the petrol was 97.9 and the diesel 94.9. That's against most of the supermarkets at 99.9!
Thanks Dangers - will keep an eye then as there are 4 within reasonable of distance f h/ other places I frequent often
Brizzle envious of your power to fleabay. I just need to find some inspiration from somewhere.0 -
Thanks jonno...will try and get a shimmy on with it today.
Garden coming along....hard work but getting there. Had a lovely walk yesterday as well..packed lunch and hot chocolate afterwards. Felt fairly frugal...in the old days would have been lunch or dinner out, am sure.
Slow day today. Need to prep for next week, put dinner on..probably not in SC now as wont be time if we are to eat at 3, do some listing and check on YNAB budget before the new month starts... Oh and try and hit that target for decluttering...think it's within reach if I rummage behind the sofa!!
Hugs to all that need them xMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
