Have woken up feeling a bit wobbly/dizzy..not sure why? Oh well, hopefully will pass.

    Goals for this week:

    - finalise accounts and check format makes sense to anyone other than me :).
    - review paperwork, CV etc in advance of an upcoming meeting re work
    - meal plan for next week
    - go for 2 runs
    - update work and domestic diary for next 2 months..

Small goals but writing them down here on post 2443 so I can track 'em!

Yesterday was horrid. Altho at least I finally did it! Serves me right for not having done the accounts for so long. surrounded by IOUs, bits of paper and receipts..uggh. the other issue, as with so many businesses, is cash flow. Although I bill monthly and get paid monthly, promptly, I have 'spent' lots on expenses before I get reimbursed for any I can claim. So with an upcoming VAT bill I am looking at the account nervously. Basically I need a buffer, but that will take a few months more trading.

Away this eve so OH in charge of food. It says tortilla and salads on the meal planner but who knows what they will end up with?! :rotfl: Plenty in fridge tho, they will not starve

Weak and dizzy.... maybe you aren't breathing deeply enough (stress-related)?

Or you're anaemic? Are you newly breathless when climbing the stairs - that was always my signifier for anaemia.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

I remember that whole thing so well (I was self-employed for over 20 years) - I only used to do my accounts every 3 months in order to get the VAT return done. Hated it and as you say there's always the cashflow situation to keep an eye on.

I am still self-employed actually, though I am also a full-time employee but I de-registered from paying VAT and that makes life a lot easier. My SE earnings are very small and just a nice extra really.

Well done on getting it all done. :T
  • Hope you are OK Brizzle:hello:and that dizziness has cleared up ?

Hi P&F, I have been thinking about de- registering myself as the returns are a pain in the ...head;) and we no longer earn enough to have to do them. Was it easy and straight forward to do?

Hi - yes thanks NOA. I lost a long post and then went to work and forgot to post. Lots of water and nutella on toast seemed to help :D

Trying to do the accounts little and often now..just completed the last few days. Need to find a way of incorporatihg YNAB really (CSV file I guess) otherwise I am entering the data twice which is silly.

All good here- defrosting items from freezer for tea. Had to buy cheese, bread, cat litter (!), yest and some beers did creep into my basket ;) So another £22 odd spent on groceries but got a MOV for £2.50 which is always handy. LO lamb from weekend made into a lush lamb curry by OH. Use Ups featuring very heavily in this week's meals... eating a lot of lentils thats for sure!

Well. I had best get back to work now :)

  • Can't wait for October..and unlikely to be paid some money we were hoping for in September so YNAB will be to pot. Boo. I will remind them we asked payment by the end of the month.
