Parsnip Couscous with Brazil nuts not pine nuts and orange zest not lemon worked very well. ( I refused to buy the alternative ingredients and made do.. ;)) Recommended and will cook again :)

Yesterday began to sketch out some goals. The main one is £2.5k in the safety net savings pot by end of July as I won't have a pay packet then  :D to help with cash flow until the new venture starts and to pay for weddings, window and holiday as well. Not too crazy but won't be entirely easy either as we are planning to go away at the Whitsun break.

In other news OH got an unexpected load of OT so that's good.

Cucumber plants are germinating. Thank goodness for OH's green fingers

Good day today. Calm and focussed on the future. Much needed.

Done some TTs and a NSD. Magic.

Blimey, haven't posted for almost a week..shocking...but kinda busy in RL and hope everyone is well.

Just a quick post as getting kids to bed (SATs an all and DD1 did a huge hike at weekend across Dartmoor so although no blisters (yay!) she does need a few early nights to compensate)

Money going OK. Had a short family holiday at weekend so fuel spend and some additional groceries. But nothing else :j

Phoned the bank today to confirm and the OP pot stands at £2.8k odd which should be OK to use in July/August to ease cash flow. Obviously if I can add to it before then I will.

Ebay is pants. Allotment on the other hand is good..potatoes finally in today and sweetcorn, peas and beans all going well. Tomatoes and squash less so so may have to resort to buying some plants.

Pegged out loads this week. Sun helping the panels ;) New lodger in and seems fine. Old one very sad to leave, suspect she may come back to Brizzle before the end of the year, but who knows!

Made a big batch of 'celeriac and whatever else is in the fridge' soup today. So that's lunch sorted for a few days!:)

    TTs done most days.

    Cheers folks

Glad all is well. Sorry your ebay is pants, it must be because everyone's been buying my stuff instead! I can't believe how much I've sold this week. Crazy, but all good!

Jwil if you are the lucky recipient, that's fine by me!...if it's anyone else not on MSE then that's not on and I am suitably disgusted at the universe! ;)

I made £140 odd pre fees but a few items just not shifting. Think I should lower starting price rather than give up totally.

Using AF lentil curry base with some LO chicken for tea this eve. Frugal meal. Not a big sauce mix fan but this was 17p and Ainsley so optimistic.

Waiting on expenses tomorrow then can shift some Work CC bills. Also making an OP to the mortgage on Friday...yippee!:)

Hope all ok. Out this eve with some girlfriends, can't wait :)

Hmm.. Didn't know that about Jack but guess she now has to make decisions about her long term security in the public gaze.

I will let you know how the bread goes!

Jack did the rhubarb soda bread on Jamyee's Food Tube media stream - HERE As he owns his own production co - and has said he's giving up TV programmes, I assume new talent will be brought forward........ Channel 4 prog just before or just after Christmas for our Jack do we think?????

And yes, I agree, she must capitalise on opportunities whilst she can. She's popular, has information and ideas that people want to hear. And as she has to put up with being damned if she does and damned if she doesn't, I hope that she soon begins to earn a real packet for her efforts :D
