Settling down to an early night. OH off out with DD1 for a club/parents meeting. I am exhausted. Whoever knew that food festivals would be so tiring!

A month and 5 days of being DF...it's a great feeling....but still want to make more progress.
Couple of things I am musing on..
- generally I put any spare money against the mortgage as OPs can always be withdrawn. But given some recent press and the MMR stuff I am wondering whether it's safer in an ISA. I probably need to check with the bank that their custom and practice won't change but it's hard to guarantee it isn't it. I will need to have a buffer though over the summer as cash flow could be an issue in the summer as I move payment terms around a bit.
- next thing was trying to save as hard as I did when I was trying to get the cards paid off. Seems that my resolve slips a bit and OH's definitely has. We seem to need goals. Maybe these are the £12k buffer by the end of 2014 in the mortgage and the savings pots but I know we could do even more. I think I will suggest we have a chat tomorrow eve about it and agree some goals together.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Morning, Belated birthday wishes for DD1
...I've also had an exhausting weekend, i'd like another one to get over it please
We went to see Spiderman instead of Captain America, DS1 was outvoted
so we might watch that one next to appease him
. Good luck with finding some new goals for saving, I still treat my money as if i'm in debt, which is probably a good thing for me as I can't be trusted not to spend it all on am@zon otherwise

BM worked well and freezer foods (aka. fishfingers) for a kids tea this eve..they asked for one! OH and I are having Parsnip Couscous, a Peter Gordon recipe out of a Riverf@rd book so will let you know what its like. We don't often eat separately but this time is different and I am not fussed about fishfingers if I am honest :rotfl:
