  • We saw Captain America last week. The boys loved it, Mr BoF not quite so much. Happy birthday to DD1.

I saw quite a good idea yesterday for the wardrobe. Put all the hangers in back to front to start with and then as you wear items hang them the correct way. After a period of time, check the hangers and the ones that are still the wrong way round should be the clothes that have not been worn. These are the ones to get rid of. Hope this makes sense.

What a good idea, I think I will give this a go as I've got loads of clothes but never seem to have anything to wear

  • So come on Brizzle, which top chefs have you met after yesterday?

You certainly had the weather for it - well we did and I hoped it travelled to you too :)

Back on the artichoke topic - can you check what type your allotment neighbour grows please? Thanks x

    Have a good day, Tilly x x

Hi there everyone, thanks for dropping by

In the end we stayed close to home and saw the Green Man festival/procession and had yummy locally made burgers from a stall outside one of our pubs. They were lush. Hundreds of people out and about, it took hours to walk anywhere as we were always stopping to talk to friends and neighbours. You're right Tilly, the sun was gorgeous.

We will be heading down today. It's a secret for DD1 but we will have Sunday Lunch in a yurt today :j very Brizzle :D

Jerusalem artichokes..if you PM me your address I will send you some tubers. I will also text my neighbour to ask her if she can remember the variety or recommend a good one.

Thanks for stopping by BoF...good to see you back posting. We missed you! I will try that with the clothes..good idea but I can probably remember what I wear and it's always the same things :( Outside work it's jeans jeans jeans... :o

DD1 having a great day. All up rather early, no chance of a lie in.. :rotfl:

Will post later folks. Here a wonderful day, hope the weather holds for the next 2 days. Rumour is that will not be great later on today but will be glorious again tomorrow.

    X

HI brizzle, you have so many positive things going on it is lovely to hear :) Your daughters birthday treat sounded fab too how was it? :)

Great idea with the spending challenge - i could do with a no spend challege after buying 2 x dresses (bay of e) and 3 x shoes and 1 x shorts (reduced price shop) but the thing is they were all needed and so will be used and were purchased at the best possible prices so i guess i should (and am) pleased about my sensible purchases :)

Do you grow rhubarb at your allotment at all brizzle? I bought and planted some last year but i have no luck with it i thought before i buy any more i would seek some advice if you can help at all :)

    Enjoy your day x

Hi DDFW..the Sunday Lunch was fab. Cooked by the team from the Pony & Trap (Josh Eggelton's team) so whilst the great man was not there the engine room certainly was. The mixed berry and apple crumble was particularly sublime :) We had a mooch around some of the festival, seems to have done really well...so many people down in town that some stalls had just run out by 5pm. We did some shopping (DD needed trainers so a v MSE shop of £19.99:D). I then did a H@bbs trip..hmm. Lovely stuff which OH supervised as he said previous suggestions were too worklike ;) but having looked at the bill this morning I will be taking one item back. It's not essential and just us getting carried away :o So bit spendy for me but all already saved for in the money pots. OH also tried on some suits in M&S and liked some so he will go back this week to get one..20% off at the moment too and I have some vouchers we can use to further reduce it.

Then the film with the MOV voucher. Had birthday cake (NL's chocolate malteser cake-lush) at the movies and brought in own drinks..;) It was pretty entertaining. Pretty violent at times but we all enjoyed it.

Walked for miles yesterday so not sure about today. Feel a bit pooped if I am honest.

    Back later x
