226g of soda crystals
226g of borax substitute/ borax (rob3rt dyas or am@zon I get this from)
1 bar of household soap (am@zon sell 4 quite cheaply)
I grate the soap in our food processor and add the correct amount of SC & borax and mix, also add essential oils at this point and give a good whizz round and move to our laundry jar. I use 3-4 tbls of this, my mum uses less as the water in her area is softer (think she uses 2 spoonfuls from memory)
p.s so glad you liked a1di (or should i say REfound it) it's fab and if for any reason I have to go elsewhere I notice such a huge difference in my food bills and not in a good way!xxx
I would like to second DFW's laundry powder - I love it :T
My DD is allergic to most washing powders - we used to just have non-bio but now we use this.
My only problem is I never take the measurements with me and think I am buying enough for 2 months and when I get home and check I realise |I have 6 months worth and then I have no where to store it!! I thought my memory was good but it clearly isn't.
I buy my ingredients from a hardware store we have in a village close by - the pricing is really good.
I am not sure how much I use as I have a little scoop thing - I must measure it one day!!0 -

I attempted DFW's laundry powder recipe last year ! You would not believe the mess I managed to get in grating the soap, must admit I didnt think to use a food processor !!
Mr PG banned me from making it again , we have be using Waitrose Basics range washing liquid, they have had some great offers on and Mr PG often works next door to a Waitrose so he has been nominated Washing Powder Purchaser ! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Really PG? The gloop is quite thick but have to say what on earth did you do :rotfl:
Food processor is a good idea but I love the thought of 7l of gloop for under £1 ..bet Mr PG can't beat that eh
Not too much MSE stuff as DD1 has a birthday soon so some expense but only 1 present from us. It's a big one but at least we are not going mad
In other news:
- usual TTs done although one pot will decrease in some places when I update the signature as I am having to pay some wedding costs (which is why we built it up)
- some money on the panels
- use ups today...can't be bothered to cook which is handily MSE :money:
- one bid on EBay and a few watchers but 4 items with none..may have priced them too much..we shall see.
- must do expenses. Job for this eve so that I can reconcile it and make sure where I am with cash flow.
- BM going on for a nice loaf later
- lots of charging of mobiles and devices on trains to save my energy bills
Hope everyone is doing well

You are doing so well!
Are you doing the water slide?"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks jwil. How's you?
No unfortunately not. Despite OH pledging money to get it off the ground they recently introduced a free lottery system and although we applied no chance. We will just gorge ourselves at the food festival instead nom nom
Feeling very perky today. Must be cos I got paid and see that I have another £230 in my pay packet as my tax code has 'normalised' whoop whoop :j
I am also investigating these other opportunities and changes that I alluded to and that feels great too
Hope everyone is looking forward to MayMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I'm ok thanks
Shame, it looks like great fun! The food festival sounds great though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

It's certainly been popular..just think the ticket distribution was handled badly.
We will LOVE the food festival, it will be great.
Just sitting in hotel bar and checking in on MSE stuff:
- EBay bids up to £93 so that's handy. A few days to go on most auctions too.
- charging all devices on trains and in hotels
- window replacement booked but have another 6-8 weeks to save and before I need to pay so that will be fine
- cut down on veg box and milk order so min. grocery spends
- OH took DDs for a cheap TA this eve. They miss me! But nice treat
- did TTs and moved across the £230 extra to one of my savings pots :T:T and by tomorrow it will look EVEN better
Had great day at work today..some days are just great!! (Not all you understand,;) but when it's good, it's great!:))
Think that's it. Hope everyone is doing very well

Lets hope that if they re-do the slide another time. I quite fancy it, just don't know whether I'm too much of a wimp.0
