Well I've been out for some shopping and bought wellies to wear only to discover when I got home they wouldn't go past my calf muscles  So I took them back and went for a wander via the local park. It's a beautiful sight at the minute so I'm going to go back with our digital camera and see if I can manage to get a piccie of the robins I saw playing in the snow
Only came home to drop off my bag and have some lunch. I'm not cold at all, except my bottom
:rotfl: Right, time to move out again... now where did I put the digital camera?

I am loving these pics but tired mum, I can't see yours
My dd3 is at the moment lying in the middle of road being a snow angel!! (luckily we live in a v. quiet cul-de-sac!!) The girls have made a small snowman and have raided my fridge for carrots etc.
My eldest, who I kept off because of the snow, is now feeling ill - theres karma for you!!
Moggins - hope your dd is alright soon, I often think we know more than doctors, it seems to be just guesswork (some of the time!) from them. Sorry if I offend any docs - I only mean in my experience with my kiddies! You are doing the right thing, there seem to be a lot of nasty viruses around at the moment.
I must get on and do something useful, but feel like curling up with a blanket as it looks so cold out there!
(((hugs))) to smokybabe and DH and anyone else who needs/wants one.
BBxx
Edit- hugs to catowen too - sorry your friend is leaving. and hugs to mrs. mix's DD too.If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Hello again,
Love all the snowy pics - not one flake here tho, and dont think we will be getting any either!!
Well, went to see my friend, and we both had another cry - her hubby offered me a glass of wine, but at 10 in the morning, and having to pick LO up from nursery at 11.30, thought it was best to say no (dont want to turn up there smelling of drink!! get my OFSTED revoked straight away!!!), couldve done with it the way im feeling tho - still crying at the drop of a hat, but never mind.
Bak home now, LO having her lunch, we will then have a play before she has a sleep, and i will have something to eat - dont know what to have, im feeling hungry but dont know what i fancy.
Lovely to see the pics from yesterday as well, its lovely to put faces to the names, and everyone looks really lovely - wish i was able to join the meet on Saturday, im sure everyone will have a lovely time.
Have a good afternoon everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
moggins wrote:ageandjo do you have any bacon? I have a great recipe for leek, bacon and potato pie. Otherwise you could do a leek and potato soup?
Why do I always come back from the doctors feeling like I have wasted my time? All I get is keep giving her the Calpol. I give her any more Calpol and she will turn pink!! It seems like whenever they don't know what is wrong, it's a case of give them Calpol and leave them till they either get better by themselves or keel over unconscious!
Can anyone tell I am hopping mad?
Yes I have some bacon:T :T :T0 -

It snowed here for about 30 mins and has all melted from the roads. Just a bit left in the rooves. Looks like the small Penguins won't be getting a day off school.

Right, slice the leeks thinly, and chop the bacon, fry off together in a little oil until cooked, add about a level tablespoon of plain flour and add enough milk to make a fairly thick sauce. Top with mashed potato and brown in a hot oven.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
