This is the snow from my window in Bethnal Green, East London. Normally you can see the city but not today!

I love the snow, I've got the day off today so I don't think I'll be venturing out in it much.

My OH was flying to Norway at 7.20 this morning but his flight was delayed and he missed his conecting flight and all his meetings for this afternoon. Opps. I'm sure they cope with the snow much better than us.

  • Morning all :)

Itrs snowing here, not much yet though much to boyf's dismay - he wanted to take DD sledging, instead i've packed him off to work poor boy! DD is at school at the moment, don't know if they'll stay open all day if the snow gets heavier though. Shes got her school valentines disco tonight so hope that doesn't get cancelled - shes so excited bless her :)

I'm all bundled up sat at the pc, its sooooooo cold! Its taking me ages to type this as my fingers stiffen up when its cold and won't work - arrrghhh! Took me ages yesterday to prepare the veg for the irish stew i made.

B - Leftover soda bread with butter and jam, tea, orange juice
    D - Soup and bread
T - Chicken casserole, baked potato and broccoli

Have a good day all, keep warm and stay safe :)

  • Thought I'd post this in honour of Aussielass!
It just landed in my inbox from my SIL in OZ

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their
    new wives duties
Terry had married a woman from America, and bragged that he had told his
wife she needed to do all the dishes and housework. He said that it
took a couple days but on the third day he came home to a clean house and the dishes were all washed and put away.

Jimmie had married a woman from Canada. He bragged that he had given
his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the
cooking. He told them that the first day he didn't see any results, but the next day it was better. By the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done, and he had a huge dinner on the table.

The third man had married an Australian girl. He boasted that he told her
that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, laundry
and ironing twice a week, lawns mowed, windows cleaned and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the
second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day most of the
swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye.
Enough to fix himself a bite to eat, load the dishwasher, and call a
    handyman.

    God Bless Australian Women ....

ageandjo do you have any bacon? I have a great recipe for leek, bacon and potato pie. Otherwise you could do a leek and potato soup?

Why do I always come back from the doctors feeling like I have wasted my time? All I get is keep giving her the Calpol. I give her any more Calpol and she will turn pink!! It seems like whenever they don't know what is wrong, it's a case of give them Calpol and leave them till they either get better by themselves or keel over unconscious!

Can anyone tell I am hopping mad?
