Well, I've had a really lazy day today - and I don't feel at all guilty!! Set up huge jigsaw on dining-table last evening, and I have spent ages on it today!
DS went home yesterday and seemed fine...he had a super evening with exOH and their DD...but have heard absolutely nothing today, which is often a sign of the mood swinging right around again. Oh well, sufficient unto the day, etc...
Slept really well last night, and even tho' the wind woke me a couple of times I went right back to sleep. Could do with a few more sleeps like that!
Tappers, so sorry to hear about your friend's nephew. Know just how his family will be feeling..
DH has just played for 17yrold's funeral today - young lass involved in a car accident two days before christmas. The church was very full, mainly youngsters, and he said you could have heard a pin drop. So desperately sad.
Have managed to get to the gym again so am on a bit of a roll with that at present.
Hope you are all having good days. ((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one.
    Take care.

just sneeking in late because I'm just not up to a jolly post. I've had to start on a 4 day special food intake this morning in readyness for my opp on Monday. I can have Consome, steamed chicken, boiled fish, clear liquids. NO veg, salad, nuts, bread and the list goes on. I'm not to eat anything as from 8 am on Sunday, my opp is on Monday. I have to be at the hosp by 9 am but the opp could be anytime during the day. I have to drink 2 ltrs of horrid stuff and 2 pints of water the night before. Not much fun in that eh !!
I'm feeling really down and guilty because so many on here are going through worse things in life.

OS wise, y/day I made 16 lamb burgers from the LO joint we had, vacumed all stone walls and cleaned 2 bedrooms, the others can wait.
I had DGD aged 2yrs 9mths on Sun & Mon. she slept at home on Mon night then I had her again on Tuesday, Tuesday night and Wednesday. On Tues I deceided to potty train her, DD has put it off for far too long. I had potty trained my DD'S and Nephew by the age of 16mths. DGD cracked it within 10hrs, not 1 accident in 3 days.
just spoke to DD2 and she can't belive how soon DGD cottened on to POTTY !! and how to use it. God give me strength.....
DGD was ready to be trained months ago. ( CANDY, Know you've been there, got the wipes x)
DD2 posted on FB that she had taught DGD to be potty trained, I don't mind who gets the praise as long as DGD is dry.
Next step is to achieve night time without nappies.

Off to our Darling friends Funeral tomorrow, 3rd funeral since May.
I'll stop my ramblings now, just feeling like my world is closing in. x

Beth - don't you dare feel guilty! you have the same right as anyone here to feel down. You have a lot going on at the moment, so please don't feel bad. Hope the special diet is managable, and that the funeral goes ok x

    Beth,

How nice to see you posting, and I am sorry you are feeling down, you have a big step ahead of you next week with your op, so you are bound to be feeling sad, and worried, remember to take some time out for yourself and try and rest, I know you love her to bits but you have had your dgd most of the week, and you do need to rest and take care of yourself too xx

Evening-hugs to Beth,Tappers ,LW,BBrain,Lou and anyone else in pain/down etc.
JG-bet youre fed up with people asking whether youre still here:rotfl:

Finally had a text from our 'buyers' to say they are pulling out of the sale....hmm tell me something we hadnt already guessed  So the morning was spent on the phone to solicitors,EA,DH etc.So back to square one now.

I spent the afternoon in town with DN and her baby boy-she wanted to try on clothes,I wanted to go on the market for cheap fruit & veg :D,though when she saw what I was getting she rang her Mum to ask if she needed anything. She treated me to a cuppa and flapjack in Debenhams cafe while she fed baby, and wouldnt let me pay for the parking as she was pleased I 'let' her come with me-bit of cabin fever I think. She starts back at work after mat leave very soon, and I will really miss her,we are quite close and having them around takes my mind off missing out on spending a lot of time with DGD.

Wind calming down a bit-last night was horrific, the worst night since we've been in this house. We have a lot of trees in the garden so I was on pins.I'm so glad we had the big ash tree seen to in the summer.A branch bounced on the roof above our bedroom, but sounded worse than it was

Right time to snuggle down for some Tv.DS2 has gone to see DGD,and DH will poss go out for a pint later, quite often does on a Thurs.Stay safe xx

  • Beth Of course you are down, who wouldn't be in your position.
I am sending you oodles of positive vibes and I hope that everything goes well with the op on Monday ((((((Hugs)))))

Thanks Hun, I'm dreading it :o:o:(:(
I made DD promise that she would NOT put DGD in a nappy during the day time, she complied. Only because I told DGD that she was such a clever girl and I was so proud of her , praise, praise etc including dancing and clapping hands,,, DGD was so excited she wanted the potty every 10 mns. Bless her. She woke this morning and said to DD " Mummy, I don't wear nappies anymore in the day time, I wear nick-nicks" .:T:j:T
