I get peas and cauli from Farmfoods (£2 for 3 bags) and broccoli also from FF, it always looks nice and green unlike some other frozen broc I've tried which tends to have yellowing bits.
I also like the FF mash, but have started buying their bags of potatoes (4kg for £1) in a money-saving effort.
In the past I've had frozen mushrooms and sliced mixed peppers from FF, if I had more room in the freezer I'd have them again because they're a good standby and fresh peppers are so expensive.0 -
broccolli
although i have a packet of aunt bessies diced finely chopped veg in the freezer
says its orange carrots, yellow carrots (what on earth is a yellow carrot??) celery, onion and leek

Spike the only place I have found frozen leeks is Farmfoods.
I buy most of my veg frozenbrocolli, cauliflower, peas, sweetcorn, fine beans, broadbeans, endamame, spinach. Not keen on frozen carrots though.
I also buy sliced prozen peppers, those are a big saving. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

You can even get purple carrots!:o
Jojo I like the idea of checking out the ethnic grocery stores - will put this on my "things to do when Mr LW is available to help me" list.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
We usually have frozen spinach, mash, baby broad beans, sometimes peppers and recently sprouts. OH is fussy about other types of frozen veg - the texture is 'wrong', apparently. Don't mind it myself! I like having stuff in the freezer so you aren't worried about things like spinach going off before you can use it up!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

all of them we use about 90% frozen veg i buy value mixed veg to bulk things out and i use loads of frozen peas and sweetcorn, i looked into it awhile back and tinned carrots were cheaper than frozen so i tried these they were quite good altho i only used them in a casarole i would buy them again, we buy mixed, spinage, brocolli, cauliflower, green beans, mixed peppers, peas, sweetcorn, mixed cauliflower/brocolli bags for lazy nightsDEC GC £463.67/£450
EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000 -
We've got an allotment, so currently in the freezer we have leeks, broad beans, carrots, cauliflower, green beans, parsnips. We buy in peas and sweetcorn.
I like them all, couldn't say a favourite.
When we need to buy veg, I shall buy carrots, parsnips, sprouts - if its still winter, maybe a red cabbage and freeze these. Oh and leeks for casseroles.
Or knowing me, whatever is on offer0 -
Frozen broccoli and spinach are faves here, but I love any kind of frozen vegetable. I have recently been thinking about getting frozen mushrooms as the price of fresh has really gone up lately (to my mind, anyway) and they never seem to last as long as you need them to without going floppy and yuck.
