im totally addicted to yellow stickers, i dont know how to stop, need to name this phenomenon, maybe whoopsy daisy itis? but on a serious note i hate to think that staff in the stores harbour low opinions of people who buy yellow stickered items. reading that they play games making us walk around, thats jus cruel, try living a day in our shoes and then maybe you would think differently, maybe not. We all have reasons for buying them, in my case its to help keep roof over our familys head as rent/ct so high and we get no help as my oh works....and works hard long hours too. So please dont judge us, many of us have taken enough knocks and dents along the way and a bag of bruised albeit reduced bananas may just put a smile on our faces.
ps, do any of the staff that serve you pass comment about being here again? my oh had one staff member refuse to serve him as she wanted to get off the till to check for reductions b4 the likes of "him" got it all, her colleague that took over was mortified, that was at mt t btw!0 -
tkwad - I don't care much about what staff think or them passing judgement. But I must say, my Mr M is a lovely place to shop, nicest staff of any of the supermarkets. They clearly want to sell the reduced stuff as they come round with trolleys and trays of goods trying to off load it. I was looking on the reduced veg shelf and the man nearby was adamant that I bought some of it, trying to convince me it was perfectly fine. One particular lady always seems impressed at my bargains and gives me tips on freezing etc. I think most of the people that work there couldn't care less as long as they shift stuff, get paid, and customers are polite.0

Ah, wish there was one near me, down south!
Today I got, Tesco finest smoked salmon, down from £4.00  to £1.40. Got two packs, real treat. Also got a fish & chips ready meal, reduced from £2.20 (again ) to 77p. The latter I only really bought for Monday as I've got a packed day & would be tempted to head for the chippy right near my flat...this way I've saved myself at least £3!0 -
I've had to force myself to walk post loads of meat bargains last night and this afternoon but I just haven't got the freezer room.:o
Did get 2 x posh eggs for 60p and 2 x ttd cheddar 70p from 2.59 yesterday.
Today 6 x organic butter £1.50 down to 50p.
I'm getting spoilt on the fruit and veg - there was lots at half price but I want even more offI was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly

We popped into Mr T tonight really just to buy a treat for us tonight coz it's my pay day (bottle of wine) and a bottle as a pressie for my cousins wedding.
As usual we looked at the reduced bitty - usually one Macsween haggis is £3.22. There were four reduced to 64p each costing a total of £2.56 - four for 66p less than a normal price one!!!!! We both really like haggis so this is great!
Snowy:j I feel I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe :j0 -
Can't believe some of the reductions in this thread. I think the most I've ever seen in our Tescos or Sainsburys is 25p off :rotfl:
Yesterday for example I was in Tesco by chance 10 mins before it shut and there was a pizza with an expiry date of that day with just 10p knocked off. Seems they'd rather throw it away in our store than reduce it a lot!0 -
Managed to get 2 loaves of 50/50kingsmill bread for 20p each yesterday morning using the 30p off coupons. Never got bread this cheap in the morning. Also went away last weekend and visited new asda and found lots of 5p things like some of you regularly find. Never found anything this price at tesco. Might have to relocate near an asda! Did manage to pick up 18 grape hyacincths from £3 to 25p at local tesco pm. yesterday and organic milk 2 pints 29p. Trouble is now no room in freezer and can't think of anything I need to take out. Wish I could resist a bargain - think I have a litt
le problem!

you just love your bargains bet you where on a buzz ....... :rotfl:0 -
Hi All
Not been out bargain hunting over last week as had bit of cold and had plenty stockpiled so managed to get bit better and make some freezer space
Was having withdrawal symtoms from getting bargains so got my 'fix' last night
had to nip into co-op in morning so looked to see what may have been getting reduced further, there were more sirloins with not much off and were 2 big - around 1.6kg of top rump - looked good price originally anyway - £5 a kilo !! were about £8 odd reduced to £5 so thought would stalk them later on.
Went back in about 6-15, guy was doing reductions but all steak was gone. Would have been a good price for a decent roasting joint of that size for £5 so probably got picked up through day, look out for these if this ios the correct price as is good value for beef.
Did manage to get couple of things to keep me going
truly irresistable seeded batch loaf - 20p
2 x large flat mushrooms - 20p each
2 x healthy choices chicken pasta layered salad things - 20p each
Was handy as couldn't be bothered cooking and that done dinner, yes both of them
Lots of stuff left that I dont use/like much, hopefully get a few things tonight/next week to fill my freezer back up
Tonight's menu -
Chicken thighs stuffed with mozzarella and basil, wrapped in parma ham on home made fettucine in a creamy chicken stock with crispy kale and sprinkle of sliced mild red chilli's
Chicken thighs(6) - were 5 in a pack, think about 50p (or less)
1 ball mozzarella - 10p
basil - dried - pennies
chicken stock from deboned thights - onion 10p - carrot (reduced - penny?) bay leaf tyme etc - pennies)
Touch of cream left from end of last weekend needs used - 10p?
Chilli - 10p ?
red + green kale - FREE - popped into local charity nursery, going to see if can get involved, may be able to get some freebies and/or get cheaper veg than full price supermarket
Pasta - 2 eggs (20p) - 200g 'oo' flour (32p)
Oh, I forgot I will need a bit of my reduced butter - 2p + couple garlic cloves (5p for 3 bulbs - 1/4p?) + couple tablespoons white wine vinegar, so add another 5p onto my meal for tonight lol
OH and the pack of parma ham 20p
So [STRIKE]£1.42[/STRIKE] £1.67 + herbs pepper etc - say [STRIKE]£1.50[/STRIKE] £1.75 for meal that would probably feed 4 thanks to reduced stuff, and I'm well looking forward to it, as good as a restaruant at a fraction of the price(only 2 of us eating but we are BIG eaters, especially on a friday as just have a light lunch
Hope everyone has a good day and weekend0 -

Wish I could get whoopsies as good as you. Don't do too bad so shouldn't complain but your stores are sooo generous lol. Best buy (and only one yet tbh from co op) were the yogs I picked up for 80p down from £3.65 - supposedly!0
